Internet Explorer is optional in Windows 7

You better believe it. I have tasted Win7 for quite a while, and this is how I came to find such option; Through Halflife2.net forum. Call it "The Window Portals" Valve, knowing the vast majority of it's fan are FF users, That's something Valve must answer.

Internet Explorer is optional in Windows 7

Yeah, I remember MS defending in Europe couple of years back about this. And youre right; I believe they're forced to give this option (Dismantling IE) by the European courts. But, my question is: Will this option be available only in the European version of Windows, since Win7 is just beta...

Internet Explorer is optional in Windows 7

No, I think it disables it: Which is also great because once it's disabled it's no use. We should also contact Steam and have them add Safari/Firefox, something other than IE to their services. Great option, I'm glad MS stopped being the Software-Nazi.

    The Joys of Dead Hardware

In that case, maybe get store credit, and exchange with different brand/model? If that's what Google says, then you will most like end up in the same situation, if not now, probably short time down the road. Though RMA will let you get replacement item; it is most hectic inconvenience just...

    The Joys of Dead Hardware

Aaaaand. :upstare: I'm sorry, I'm slow minded and I totally missed it. If you mean Nic card was DOA, try exchanging it at the place of purchase, since it may still covered by the retailer, and before trying to RMA it at manufacturer. Good Luck.

    Safari 4

I have been using Safari to pay bills (exclusively and no other browsing for any reasons) last couple of years, I sue FF for normal browsing, and IE for downloading from websites that aren't compatible with S and FF. I love two of my browsers and they just do their job accordingly, I'm forced...

    VIRUS?: Mouse moving without me

My cursor once moved on it's own and deleted a file without me, Then I went WTF! And that's when I saw my hand bushing the mouse, clicking "Delete," and I went "Oh! You MOFO" and that's when I realized I was drunk so I went to sleep. The End. No one jacked mouses since Win98. just clean...

    Is my PSU causing freezes?

I don't think its your PSU. I use TT TP 850w since 2006 with dual 8800GTX without any freezes or any problem whatsoever. Matter of fact TT TP has high reputation amongst gamers. What I do suspect though is your CPU settings and video-driver. When you uninstalled the 8600GT, did you first...

Trying to build a cheap, SOLID 400$ gaming computer

The question here guys is: Can anyone build a $400.00 setup which can play recent games on high settings, and the answer is (Honestly) No. A $400.00 will buy you low budget stuff, inferior in quality. And since your wallet is against you, your options are pretty minimum to utter none. Games...

Trying to build a cheap, SOLID 400$ gaming computer

I did, indicating that humming bird is not a duck. He'll be pretty lucky to launch source on medium settings with $400.00. Coming up with $600.00 more, yeah but definitely not $400.00. You can buy a $39.00 PSU or RAM and a $50.00 MB but, you must know that games are stressful and only enduring...

Oh! For crying out loud, how do you cook a humming bird? I'll observe and see what you all come up with $400.00.

    single broken pixel

You will all stand before me corrected. A dead pixel is a dead pixel, and cannot be revived, massaged, or rubbed; only RMA. A stuck pixel however can be fixed, you must know what it is that you're doing. Author must specify which... Watch Video Good Luck.

    Windows 7 public beta out

Great, thanks for the info. Also I didn't know about the hover-and-spec (lol. I just made up a brand new word) feature there. I agree; the corners are prime real estate
