I'm fine with them calling it TF2, it's their game. Anyway, like everyone said, I'm holding out, and reserving final verdict after we hear more info.
But with it being bundled with HL2:EP2 as almost a freebie, I'm a little worried to say the least. I was hoping at this point, TF2 would be...
Is it me, or does the electrical plug in the background seem awefully big? Does the baseboard look large as well? Are we going to be playing as toy soldiers?
Yeah, what killa and kage said.
Half-Life: Source was given to VUG along with HL2 and CS:S in the first release candidate. So I would assume that when "Half-Life 2" went gold, all three went gold, so that they could be packaged together for the CE.
axeil has a good point though, it's...
Ok, if the game is on retail store shelves on Tuesday, November 16th, you'd assume the major retailers will be doing midnight parties on the 15th. Does this mean, we get the game at midnight on monday (technically tuesday)? And if so, which time zone at midnight?

Yeah, I would much rather be playing CS: S now, while waiting for them to finish up hl2, instead of going back to call of duty, battlefront, and ut2k4.
And I would also much rather be playing CS: S now, in it's current shape, than waiting 4-8 weeks, or longer, so that they can add more models...
The people who implemented the engine are programmers. People who designed the game, and came up with the requirements of the engine are designers, not programmers. You said designers knew about the bug back when they designed it.
we're fighting over vocabulary. i call truce.
The designers are non-programmers. They came up with the requirements for the engine, and then designed mockups and storyboards.
During IMPLEMENTATION, when the programmers actually started coding tests and techniques, the bug popped out.
No designer was sitting around going, "Well...
I'm not saying they need every possible shadowing technique imaginable. Even Doom 3 doesn't do monster to monster shadowing.
But I think they could at least determine when a dynamic object has another dynamic object between it and it's shadow projection, and then decide not to display the...
