Nothing is perfect. If we waited for Valve to develop a perfect game, it would never reach us. You concentrate on what is most important, and are always going to sacrifice something. I would be happier with the game, and a patch for little things like this, than waiting forever.

If I were you, I would block out the robots form first. Then figure out the major lighting information, value breakdown, THEN.. polish, and add detail, highlights, etc.. The way you are going right now, is kind of backwards... you have to resist the urge to start adding details right away...

CptStern - I would definately give tablets another chance, (Wacom is the only way to go). It takes some adjustment; going from traditional drawing/painting to using a tablet, but the freedom and flexiblilty of it is worth the initial frustration. Yes, I did my avatar; it was a quickie sketch...
