No you don't.. you can do it in the driver settings.. 'overwrite refresh rate'.

It felt like the longest game I ever played, probably due to the different environments.. wich is a good thing. I played on hard, it took me between 17-20 hours, and yes, I'm a fast player.

Update: Fixed it, I deleted it and preloaded it again.

I have it too with my 6800 GT..but lowest it gets is 30 fps. p4p800 non-deluxe 2.8 ghz 800 fsb XFX 6800 GT 2x512 twinmos pc-3200 antec truepower 480W

Topic starter: Don't you think this is a VERY stupid poll to make? Serously, what were you thinking when you put Blue shift, gunman chornicles, etc in the same line as HL2?

That's cheap indeed.. but oh well.. Id software is not as good as valve in making games so they must be copying some stuff I guess

Well I don't know a top 10, but I do know a top 3: 1. Half-life series, espessially Half-life 2. HL2: greatest interactive entertainment out on pc's today. No competition even in sight. 2. Mafia. Just like a movie, it really draws you in. I LOVED it. 3. Max payne series.

edit: just purple textures with blocks on it, no hl logo's.

I'm missing some textures in HL:source.. For example at the beginning of the hazard course, the doors of the lift are purple with hl logo's on it.. steam says it's 100%..

Best ending I ever saw.. same goes for the whole game. Btw valve would be putting out episodes trough steam I heard, so MAYBE we find out more about the HL story sooner then we think.

Best game ever..period. Anyone who disagrees should pack his bags and quit gaming in general. This is not about opinions anymore, this are now FACTS.. I've never, NEVER been so impressed by a game. Btw paul wakefield: Weren't you the one who couldn't log in to steam or something...

Doom 3 isn't even in the same league.. it isn't even worth mentioning in the same line as HL2.. That goes for any other game too btw..
