Loved both games. Since they are very different (and a year or so apart tech-wise) it's probably a bit unfair to compare, but I'll give a couple thoughts on each (all just opinion though).
Neither were perfect, but is there such a thing? Both had bit of a repetitive feel. When you go from...
No worries here. It's done when it's done.
I'll never get the anger that comes with delays. It's not a life saving liver or kidney, it's just a game.
A lot of good games out there to play, as well as real life to play. A lot of good books to read, some crappy movies to watch, houses to...
I'm late to the party (as usual) but seems (from reading) a tad over rated. But then wasn't "Lost coast" always labeled as a tech demo? And it's free ;) can't complain over free stuff
off to give it a shot :)
Just finished it literally minutes ago and had to chip in my 2 cents.
Loved it! No major complaints in my book.
And people thought DOOM3 was scary? Monolith did it right...true scares are not simply things jumping out of closets or loud noises. Suspense builds the best scares; anticipation...
Right now I have:
ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe mobo
Athlon xp 3200+
1gig Muskin Ram (PC-3200)
2 hard drives (one is SATA)
1 DVD burner
Yeah, really I should dump a bit more cash into it and make it a bit more future proof rather than having to face buying another PS in the near future when the mobo/cpu...
Quick question.
After playing the FEAR demo it's clear the ole Radeon 9500 pro has lost it's "ooomph"
Seeing some good prices for the 6800gt (and about all I can afford right now), the question is what would be a reasonable Power supply (as in watts)?
I have a 300watt Antec but clearly...
I think for me I don't see anything as "sucking" , but would say I saw things which annoyed me.
Some are the obvious ones: length of game, load times.
Some are based on expectations of what we were told/shown before the game was released (weapons, monsters, AI, length of game ).
But...
Have to be honest and say hl1. It was new and exciting and original. Hl2, although good, didn't really add much other than technology. If the only thing HL2 (to me) has over HL1 is graphics and tech...doesn't really make it better imo.
There isn't a heck of a lot in HL2 which is...
Have to say Airplane! and Monty Python and the HolyGrail are two movies I will always laugh at ...no matter how bad the mood.
Someone mentioned Cannibal! The Musical...very funny movie...but the best part is the drunken commentary on the dvd. Hilarious!
Kinda thought hl1 guys were harder, but I am more used to them(play hl2 on hard too).
I would guess there isn't a huge difference over all though. Probably a lot of similar code.
Tried it after I had already beat it...but I get motion sick from the game itself, so that didn't last long.
So the moral to this storyis: Motion sick+drinking=vomit filled keyboard
No one jump on me :P but I have to be honest and say I enjoyed HL1 more. I think it's close, though.
HL1 seemed more thought out and flowed better for me, whereas HL2 seemed too formulaic: Meet people, get plot, follow some route which is dangerous, battle, Meet people, get plot, follow...
