Relieved myself of social/physical/hygienic obligations in order to play it. A lot. Also, when I can't fall asleep at night I mentally go through half life, the expansions and sequels. Surprisingly I've never had one half life related dream.

I mean if you have nothing else to spend your money on then sure. Although I'm biased on this because I hate consoles with a passion and valve stuff is meant to be played on a pc, I honestly can't say that it's a good idea.

In my experience, the most useful of these is the config, which boosted my fps by at least 20. And giving up hats for better performance just isn't worth it, for those of us who aren't poor and Irish. P.S. I would be grateful if you could do one of these for l4d2.

I had a similar problem when I set the mouse sesnsitivity in tf2 much higher then in hl2. This caused very low mouse sensitivity in hl2. I fixed this by turning off the steam cloud in hl2 settings. That might work for you.

I have the same damn problem, but mine freezes up on loading screens. I've tried absolutely everything, so I just gave up and bought half life source. Interestingly though, this also happens with the game blue shift, but not with opposing force, the two half life expansions.

This is what happens when something goes from one form of media to another. It just doesn't work. Resident evil didn't work as a movie, doom didn't work as a movie, and half life doesn't work as a movie. /rant
