As a regular at the PC Gamer forum, I'm going to call bullshit. Sorry if you're actually telling the truth Scorps, but they never distribute the subscriper's copies this early - maybe if the magazine was still being released on the 2nd people might start receiving their issues now.
Someone...
Not at all. Valve and Vivendi want to do everything they possibly can to stop leaks and with this being as highly anticipated as it is you can't trust anybody (including the cleaners who might want to make a quick copy while all the magazine staff are away).
If I was editor of a gaming...
Like Lara Croft had her name slightly changed from Laura to appeal to the latin market, Valve are simply doign a clever marketing move by making the love interest (and that's what I believe Alyx is) ambiguous in race.
One of the main design issues that seems to have been a driving force in...
Any beat 'em up. If the animation blending is anywhere as near as powerful as Valve have made out, it would be possible to have character reacting appropriately if they're kicked in the left shoulder or upper arm, for example...
I find it quite funny how some people attack others who design guns that wouldn't/couldn't work in real life.
They're models for a game. They're not concepts for H&K. The majority of people don't know/care whether the cocking mechanism is in the wrong place.
the first time I played half-life, I didn't realise until late on into the game that the zombies were zombies....
THe same mistake couldn't be made in HL2.
In all good zombie films, the uniting featre of the zombies is that they retain a level of humanity - when they are completely...
What I think is great is the way that they're making all the characters that much more real.
When you're walking through the building at the beginning, you feel as if the world would exist even if you weren't there, and the NPCs seem people I would be genuinely upset to see die.
What...
The fanboy reaction from both camps disappoints me, but doesn't exactly surprise me.
The facts as we have them are: For the present generation of graphics cards, ATI's 9000 series blow's nvidia's fx out of the water. For the next generation, all we know is that the Geforce 6 wipes the floor...
The styles of the body parts look conflicting and inconsistent to me.
While the head and body are really quite simple and cartoony, you can see underlying bulges in the arms and legs. I'd suggest either adding a touch more detail to the head and body or removing it from the other parts.
You do also realise that Valve are a privately held company, so have no shares to decrease in value?
Do you also realise that Valve owe you absolutely nothing, like any developer who may miss deadlines?
Begone, fool.
Cool, my gf's Finnish. I went to Helsinki in the summer and thought it was great out there.
And I think we'd better point out to everyone here that Remedy is a Finnish developer.
Hauska tutustua, Slime.
Next month?
I fear that's now just wishful thinking. I'm pretty sure Valve will want to completely rewrite whole swathes of code to cover security flaws, pushing back release by at least a few months, maybe even 6.
I don't think we'll be seeing half-life 2 for many moons yet..
