I've been having a problem where the strings used for localization aren't showing up correctly.
For example:
...
"HL2_357Handgun" ".357 MAGNUM"
"HL2_Pulse_Rifle" "OVERWATCH STANDARD ISSUE\n(PULSE-RIFLE)"
...
Shows up as #HL2_357Handgun on the HUD
Also, does anyone know how to get...
I have all the npc_citizen behavior working up to snuff, if you accumilate a certain amount of damage on them, they will start to attack you, as will any other citizens who see you shoot them.
If you are in combat, the tolerence for hitting them is much higher as they may have been in the...
Ok, well i've got it
To make them attack you flat out is really simple.

It would be stupid for them to say that the game is "bug free" because then everyone would complain that first glitch they saw.

Did anyone else think that that Jeep demo was ridiculously bad? It felt like everything had the mass of an empty paint can. I think the sign of a good physics engine is one in which objects feel real by your interaction with it, and not how many boxes you can stack.

In the E3 2004 video i think we all noticed that when pointing a gun at friendly's, the gun is lowered to prevent you from shooting them.
While i see how this can help to prevent the accidental shootings during battles, it seems as though it would also prevent the planned shootings. I mean...
I still consider this to be much much much worse than downloading music. Its like you are not only stealing the recording, but also the instruments, the musicians, and their inspiration which together made the music.... I really feel aweful about this, and its not even my project. I can't...
