  1. ComradeBadger

    The etymology of your alias.

Mine, as some of you may know, used to be mrBadger... was named for a great-uncle of mine, who was a truly great man, someone I was very fond of! (He showed a very young me real live badgers, which was pretty darn impressive, they made quite an impression on me) After my discovery of...

    Am I ***ting myself?

I need to be on LinkedIn tbh. I've done very very well out of this recession, I've been headhunted twice, and seen my salary go up about 10k (doesn't sound like much, but it is to someone who was until recently a student, living at the limits of an overdraft or two). Fun times, but it looks...

    Free dj/mixing/etc software?

Vegeta has given you lots of helpful infoes there ;) The best advice for using Traktor without a controller/mixer/other devices is to map keys to the functions you are using - otherwise, playing with Traktor won't transfer so well to using proper DJ hardware. Also, using the mouse will only...

    Free dj/mixing/etc software?

Pay for Traktor DJ Studio, if you want to learn to mix, or use Sony's ACID for if you want to try your hand at making bootlegs. Both are quite cheap :)

What kind of alcohol do you prefer?

Good lad Sulkdodds! I'm enjoying a fine glass of Lagavulin 16 year old at this moment, lovely single malt :D Very strong & peaty, I think it's my favourite scotch of the moment, although Bowmore is a close second!

    Am I ***ting myself?

I would suggest actually trying to transfer, if you don't get accepted you don't get accepted - and what makes you think the work will be too challenging? Anyway, don't worry too much about a career - the recession has meant that myself (and most of my friends, all recent graduates) have had...

    Suits?

Jeans like APC/Real Real/Acne... PRPS, selvedge etc :) aka actually good quality clothes that don't look like high street toss. Shoes wise, Church's, Grenson - essentially good quality leather shoes, preferrably benchmade that if you take good care of them will last for years and years...

    Suits?

Thank god for that! Sorry, it's just a common 'look' that I loathe, people wearing smart suit jackets with jeans :/ awful awful awful
  13. ComradeBadger

    Suits?

Oh hell no. You do not wear a suit jacket with jeans. You can wear a sports jacket or a blazer but NOT a suit jacket.. for starters they're too long. I could go on. I used to wear a suit for work, and I will have to again soon. Also, $200 cannot buy you a good outfit, $200 gets you good...

    Suits?

Haha. A heavy wool suit does not feel good on the underground in the summer I tell thee :(

    Expenses

My expense claims get scrutinised beyond all belief - just to be sure that I'm not fiddling the system.... it took me 3 months to get £14 back, haha (larger ones they have been quicker on but still) I think it's abhorrant this, it's just naked self-service. If any of them were in any other...

    Suits?

I love them, I only have three.. I want moreeeee :D My grey cashmere Paul Smith suit is my pride and joy, it's just gorgeous - fits like a dream. I wear a linen tweed sports coat to work, but I can power-dress at will :E
