Sadly, I think that the g-man is more of a plot device than a real, believable character. That was cool in half-life 1, but I think that in the future he should be treated more like a character. I want to see him doing stuff, talking to other characters. Not just popping out of portals, stopping...
I do not agree with everything he wrote, but I like the idea of more fleshed-out npcs, who may or may not survive through the game.
Half-life episode one already introduced the concept of "cooperative single player", I hope Valve is going to expand on that. There should be more characters...
So Half-life 3 will be Half-life 4.
I wonder if Gordon is ever going to visit other dimensions. The possibility of all the combine off-world colonies...
Other plot elements I'd like to see in the future episodes:
-Fake Gordon Freemans infiltrating the resistance.
-A trip to an...
1- They didn't do SO good
2- The combine are probably stronger than xen super big warriors
3- The combine attacked with a probably larger armada, composed of bio-enginereed species from everywhere across their multidimensional empire
1- What are you talking about? THe combine didn't have...
Ravenholm - Highway 17 (I love the madmax like theme, though) - Sandtraps (except the last part, right before nova prospekt)
The rest is just fine.
I prefer Episode One over regular hl2. The average quality is higher- even if it doesnt'have the peaks of hl2.
I always thought Striders were some kind of sinthetic (synt) mech produced by the combine, and not a previously existing creature (like the overwatch soldiers).
I began another playthrough. The game is still amazing. By the way I am playing on a ati x1900xt with full antialiasing and full anisotropic and color correction on... the graphics are still the best out there.
I wasn't talking about the dialogue options, I was talking about the game.
Anyway, for the Barney part, I was talking about a game where Barney is already a metrocop. He basically has to follow orders, like patrolling city 17 outskirts, beating up and interrogating suspects, while at the...
Yes of course I just mean that Gordon should remain silent in the games. But if they are ever going to do a game about one of the main npcs, I don't see why they shouldn't talk. It's not half-life, it is just another game set in the same universe.
And anyway I'm talking about an improbable...
I was thinking about an additional non freeman-centered episode about the main npcs. The episode would be split into chapters (like the half-lifes) and every chapter would be a different flashback about one or more of the characters.
I'm talking about playable minichapters where we learn how...
That was just the first part of the experiment. The cascade resonance scenario interrupted the experiment, we don't know what Gordon Freeman was supposed to do after the pushing cart part.
Yes I think the child in the photo is a niece of something like that.
Anyway I'd really like to see Gordon's Relatives making an appearance in a future game.
I want John Freeman. He must be alive and he must be somewhere. Maybe he is the resistance secret weapon, or the project.
I still don't think character are mature enough to die.
Surely it's a great idea to kill someone to show that those character are REALLY figthing with their lives, but I think the main characters aren't just enough developed yet.
Barney? Come on, let's first have some more time with him or...
