Primer:
If you've got a technical mind (double points if you're an engineer), and want something that's both extremely down-to-earth and total mind-****, I highly recommend it. Don't expect to understand it completely with one viewing, but it's brilliant.
They've been excellent with the DLC so far with Rock Band 1 and 2, putting new stuff on their instead of releasing new games, and they already seemed to have confirmed Abbey Road DLC at launch for this. So I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt, and I'll only accuse them of trying to squeeze...
Yeah, the intro for that is fantastic. I love the amount of respect the Rock Band team has for their job, and I want to get my hands on this at some point, no question.
Edit: Pitz, this is the only Rock Band artist specific pack they've done, and it seems to have been contractual for them to...
I'd give 12 Monkeys another try...it's not a film for everyone, but it's a complete mind trip that I had to watch at least twice before I really even understood everything.
Anyone notice that your squad is the cast of Firefly? Nathan Fillion is your squad leader, Alan Tudyk is the demo expert, and Adam Baldwin has the big gun. The whole thing looks like they've taken the idea of Republic Commando and ran with it in the Halo universe.
I'm interested, to say the least.
Hah, they're getting into some pretty obscure remake material at this point. I'm willing to bet most children of the 80s saw Flight at some point, but its just a vague memory now.
I'm not a real hard-core COD4 guy, but on any difficulty below Veteran I didn't find that to really be the case. I die plenty, but it check points so frequently it was never a big deal.
Yeah, the trailer's style is a little at odds with the material, but the actual film they're presenting looks promising. Of course, it's still going to be depressing and bleak as hell.
Star Trek:
Impressed the hell out of me. This film would be a very odd duck if it was independent of anything else, but as an update of Star Trek it's fantastic. It's surprisingly silly in parts, making it really feel like a spiritual successor to the original series, rather than TNG, DS9...
It definitely looks like a proof of concept for what they want to pull off, but it might be in the ballpark. Remember Ubisoft is also responsible for Assassin's Creed, it's quite likely they could be sharing tech with the Beyond Good & Evil team. Even the way that Jade bumps up against walls...
