This is probably fixed now but for people who get this error now I'll post how to fix it, because I got it today and it was quite annoying
Start -> Run <enter>
type the following line and click OK:
C:\windows\syswow64 msiexec /regserver
I bought it today!
And now I'm installing it.
4 hours of game time isn't much I think, especially because after those 4 hours we have to wait another 6 months for the next episode.
But if the gameplay is even better than HL2 I still have to play it.
And I only paid 12,95 which is less than...
This is the Valve Developer Community homepage. In the Steam Update you can click on the link but not in this newspost so here it is.
And again a new refreshing idea from Valve :)
Interesting story, this is what I have read on their site
"...I knew I had to follow this guy and stop him. as soon as I caught up to him he leaped into a portal; should I jump in and follow? He still had my girlfriend, and she still owes me 20 bucks...) :P
The gameplay sounds cool too.
and then falling and breaking your neck :P
I wouldn't buy a guide either I think. The only thing I'm interested are the gravgun strategies but I'm not buying a +300 page guide for that
I haven't heard of this mod but it looks fantastic. I love the surreal style of the vehicles (like the tank which is shown in the first post and the airships, like this beauty. I hope we can see some 3d models soon.
And let's have a talk about the story. I can't name another mod with a story...
When I read it I thought immediatly of the ATI levels. I hope my ATI 9800 supports it, I don't think my 9800 supports all the effects that are going to be used in the ATI levels but HDR should be possible I think.
I haven't played RTW but the sound has to be very good to beat HL2's sound :)
But I'm happy it's HL2 and not some consolegame like Metroid Prime 2, Burnout 3, Halo 2 or GTA SA :)
The screens in the newspost here still don't work but you have to visit the mediasection on their site anyway. It looks very nice and they have made a cool HUD too, especially the radar which you can see in the upper right corner of this screen
Happy New Year to all and let's hope 2005 is going to be even a better game-year than 2004 was, and with Battlefield 2, F.E.A.R., S.T.A.L.K.E.R, Black & White 2, Wartime Command and Act Of War Direct Action and all those Half-Life 2 mods I think it will be :D
