Hey peeps,
Looking for some open-ended style strategy games for my Laptop, quite like ones that focus on economy or diplomacys, it's a fairly decent spec CPU/Ram but no independent GPU so can't have anything fancy.
What would people suggest?
Same,
I just can't believe people can reply to me with "I can't afford it right now" or "seems a bit expensive".
It's like 15+ games in the Valve Complete pack for LESS than they would pay for a new Xbox 360 game.
Vire and Lyon are EASY to avoid stalemate.
Major rush wins it everytime. Of course, dependent on how good your team mate is but I only play with friends anyway.
It's an ace game, multiplayer rocks but it's a BIG learning curve, very hard to start off with but once you get to that 'good' level, the matches are so intense.
I don't find it unbalanced but on certain maps with 1v1 you can easily get owned, I just stick to the 2v2/3v3 games.
Pfft, NDA.
What I'm saying is that it's a "remake" of the original, everything is the same, that's not something that will differ in full release, unless they completely overhaul it with just a month to go.
So I'm not reviewing it, I'm telling it how it is.
I got in the Beta and had a good bash. I've taken some screenshots:
It's Tropico alright!
But I feel like it's a "bad" remake. It's exactly the same, in terms of buildings, politics, edicts... even the models of the people are the same. What is new, is the very pretty graphics -...
Sadly, this is why these threads fail. People vote from one extreme to the other, with no balanced out thought before hand.
Still, it's good to read stuff the intelligent people post. :D
I doubt even the writers knew who the Gman was in HL1. So this doesn't seem relevant.
My only thoughts from this, is throughout the game he appears 'immortal' - so why would he need a pistol?
