Wow, did NOT expect this kind of reply!
Gotta run, but I WOULD like to say that I appreciate the intellegent discussion rather than knee-jerk flaming. Seems everyone's of the mindset of, "Hey, that's my opinion, and your opinion is fine, too."
Rare these day son most forums. :)
Hell, maybe I'm the only one. DM has never really held my interest for long. CS seems to be a much more complicated game.
Hear me out - with DM, your goal is to run around and shoot as many people as you can. Period.
In CS (and other team-based games), your goal is to run around and...
I actually set up barricades with the boxes and barrels on the two entraces nearest the heath and suit chargers. Then, I set up the turrets in the middle hallway, and waited. Worked pretty well for me.
Okay, so before HL2 came out, I decided to play through HL1, for fun. Now, however, I'm unlikely to ever fire up HL1, now that HL1:S is out, so I want to remove it.

WinXP SP2
AMD Athlon XP 2500+ (1.8 GHz)
512 PC2700 DDR
Asus K7N2L mobo (nForce2)
Radeon 9800 Pro 128 (which I bought over a year ago, FOR HL2)
DirectX 9.0c
Works pretty well. I haven't optimized it yet (only had a chance to peek at it before I had to head to work), so...
