I'd agree (although personally I got bored of SP after finishing it, and CS:S is too hard) - but considering the mods are 'on the way', I'd probably advise people to wait until those mods come out. The game will get cheaper, computers will get better, and if you're not already dying to play it...
You can guess the age of the original poster by the way the scale goes '16+, 20+, quite old, very old, nearly DEAD, PROBABLY ROTTING ALREADY, 50' :)
And I'm 25.
While 'Gordon' was desperately trying to hit something with that stupid rocket launcher (it's the year 3050 and they still don't have decent homing missiles), Cubbage was taking on the entire Combine force single handed. He sends the women and children and wimpy scientists off to safety, and...
I think the point is he's a fake Brit who's adopted the persona of an old-style military man. And he steals his mannerisms and exploits from old Kipling. But I like to think he's genuine because that's more fun and he's the best character in the game.
Yeah, right
Prices are dictated by what the market will pay. They ain't going down because we'll all buy anyway. Anyway, back on topic : Are we saying that it's not possible to play CS:S on LAN with one account+one copy of the game? I've never got it working, but I thought I was...
Illegal to use the cracked version, but in this instance (IMO) not really immoral. With all the Steam bans I'd suggest you be really careful on cracks&downloads at the moment.
A 'better' solution is to take Steam offline and you should be able to play then - check the Steam support. It's a...
He posted new links which work:

(from part1 to part5)
Edit:Vsaravia - it's a multipart RAR file, one big file split into tiny chunks. The chunks are automatically recombined so that you can extract the file.
Actually it can, there are plenty of 'revision guides' and stuff out there explaining the whole madness/etc thing. I did my English/Hamlet exams 10 years ago, don't want to go back :)
You're contradicting yourself a little here. If there is a good case for picking another fps than you can't...
Hmm, different types of journalism though. 3rd person and 'objectivity' works better for an academic paper/etc than for a games website.
That sounds almost pompous, and doesn't flow as well as a sentence. I'm sure they wrote it this way because a) they believe it and b) it's better writing.
But they're a cross-platform site of course, so they're going to meet a lot more 'meh' reactions than we would. It wouldn't surprise me if in their experience it didn't seem to meet expectations. Certainly from reading other news sites I saw a lot of 'well, I picked HL2 up eventually and I...
