36% Approval Rating For August, How Low Can It Go

I mean really, this country is made up of about 30% die hard Republicans that will support Bush no matter what (same on the other side with Democrats and Democratic leaders). So you have to wonder, with a 36% approval rating are there any regular people left that approve of how Bush is running this country? Remember, Clinton had a 79% approval when he left office and this 36% has to be one of the lowest in history of polling.

Bush is higher than Carter by only 2% now, give it another month and he really will have the lowest approval rating of any president in history. So to all the Bush apologists on this board, your lies and misinformation are not fooling the american people .

I'm not going to be a dick but this is getting told and I am spending less time around because of post exactly like that. Every post I made in the last few weeks ends up with the same exact discussion on why post threads like that. I don't know if people do that because they can't counter my point and figure filling up the thread with junk will work or they simply don't understand how politics works. Yes, I keep updating on NEW poll numbers. Every month the Bush's numbers drop I will make a NEW thread about the NEW numbers. If you don't like it you are free to not read the post or even add me to your ignore list so you don't see a post like that again. You are not free to come in here and fill the thread with spam about how I post too much about Bush. Add something to the discussion or do us all a favor and just ignore the thread.

Why don't you try to make a valid point and I can take you seriously. If you have said that those poll numbers are not very accurate and not made the entire post flame bait I might have given you a response like this:

Polling is very accurate as has been proven time and time again. In all elections polling has usually been dead on and never off by more than 5%. If you dispute the accuracy of polling you will have to show me some examples of where polling has been dead wrong.

that could mean that posters here need to change and stop going off-topic (like you said), but it could also mean that you need to change and stop making countless numbers of threads about Bush. If you make the same type of thread over and over again, people are gonna start asking "why post threads like that?".
I know that the politics board is for debate and all, but this whole "lets bash Bush" thing really is starting to get old.

This kind of polling isn't wrong. The election of 04 had all kinds of problems but I wont get in that here. The election polls were off by no more than 3%, so if it makes you feel better you can say Bush has an approval rating of no more than 39% and no less than 32%, still doesn't make it much better.

And I don't need to go in to how different Truman is than Bush and the fact Truman was dealing with a Republican controlled senate. I also wont go in to how approval ratings have worked in the past with people like Nixon.

Yes, Bush was reelected. Do I have to go over all the lies you guys told to show you how he was able to pull that off?
