Neither, its not like Valve will keep the console version updated and I refuse to play on the PC (I suck with a mouse and keyboard)

How do you suck with the mouse and keyboard? It's so easy it's not even funny. Aiming with the mouse is the best aiming you will get with video games.

Anyway, I would definitely get this game on the PC.

I have to get it for xbox 360 because my computer sucks balls. I feel so alone...:x
I'm here for you man, my comp sucks too.

Oh good, i'm not the only one. I am so glad that Valve makes games for the 360. I started on the PC (and I still think that gaming on a PC is better), I could play HL2 and Episode 1 (although pretty badly) on it, but my comp started to get incredibly outdated (well it started to do that 10 years ago), so I got Orange Box so i can play TF2, Portal and Ep2 on the 360. I already had the 360, and i figured it's cheaper than constantly having to upgrade the PC anyway. So L4D is a 360 title for me. If Valve for some reason decides not to port Ep3 to the Box....I honestly don't know what I'd do, but it would be something pretty radical.

And to add to a discussion that happened here earlier, the Xbox Live population is, in my experience, a lot more retarded, vulgar and annoying, and suffers from the case of "5-year-old-osis" a lot more then the PC population.

Yeah, tell me about it.

But yeah, they are gonna have it for 360 no doubt.

The people on Xbox live, are annoying little kids
I don't know what it is, but Xbox attracks annoying people
There are some mature people
The computer online players seem more sophisticated
And they're actually funny

because of stupid parents who spoil there kids with things they don't understand. computers can be a complicated thing to get into when young.

thank god....keep them on the console i say!

This is a myth.

If you could hear all the pc guys speaking in game they would be every bit as annoying.

This is a myth.
I'm not sure about that.

The games console is the most popular choice for children in terms of playing electronic games.

So 27% of console gamers are aged 2-11 and 51% are aged 2-17.

I can't find any useful stats for PC gaming, mostly because it is so varied. Ideally I'd find a "time spent online in games that have voice-chat divided by age" stat for both PC and Console - but even if it existed I'd have to pay money for it ;)

PC against any console tbh, no controller ever gives the control you have in the game with the mouse.

..Is this a poem?

Anyway, I buy all my Valve games on the PC.

I swear it was you, I know you've been banned. And you came back what, yesterday or the day before? Welcome back! lol Nevermind, it was Krynn. My bad

lol now i miss pitz.

i wonder if he will ever be back after the month ban is up.

Sure im gonna get flamed for this, but i use a 360 pad to play all my pc games, i just find it easier.

Im not the worst in the world at TF2 so meh.

I prefer the pc community, and pc games are always better content and graphics wise, although i do own a 360 as some games i like come out on it (GTA4, gears 2 etc).

Valve Games - PC
Others - 360

However, Games like NFS are easier to play with a controller, but then again, NFS doesn't need a mouse to play with.

Yes bitches, I quoted myself.

A proper gamer can be good with the thumsticks though, its courses for horses, although i will concede that the mouse is more accurate. Mouse = Win as sniper.

Its not the mouse i have a problem with, its having to remember which of the 106 keys on the keyboard calls for medic/reloads etc etc.

It's really not that hard to remember, especially if you keep consistency between games.

PC all the way.

360 I use as my backup.

Looking at the videos it looks like its running faste ron the PC and the 360 version looks kinda toned down... shame would be great to play 4 player coop with freinds on xbox live

^ Valve has denied reducing the number of Zombies for the 360 version IIRC.

I'd be surprised though if they haven't made some gameplay changes to accommodate the consoles controls.

Still looks better on PC, I think graphically and the speed of which it runs on the PC makes that format the better choice.

Besides you can look around alot quicker on the PC and makes for a faster paced game

Well, you can see only your flashlight light on x360.

360 for me!

The chance to play this with friends (in the same room) is too good to miss.

I'm not too good at FPS games with a controller but hopefully it wont be too difficult, and I hope the quick 180 degree turn they've added will work well!

Besides, my PC probably wont run it very well :(

I might have to join you. I'm currently looking into the relative merits of getting a 360 for Left 4 Dead versus upgrading my PC from the motherboard up to play it on the PC.

I played L4D on the 360 and I thought it was great, even for a console version (and FYI I despise Halo 3 on the 360). However, to get it looking as good as it does on a 360 I would need a big overhaul for my PC.

Left 4 Dead on the PC
+ The developers get more money
+ Mouse aim
+ Play with more Steamfriends
+ Game is cheaper ($ to ? conversion + a minor tax hit = win!)
+ Sound quality will be better through my speakers
- Play with less of my friends and work colleagues
- The cost of upgrading my motherboard, CPU and possibly graphics card

Left 4 Dead on the 360
+ Play with my friends and work colleagues
+ I can borrow other people's 360 games and lend them mine (can't do that with Steam accounts)
+ I can buy cheap and fun XBLA games (<3 Castle Crashers, Braid, Super Puzzle Fighter)
+ Less time/hassle figuring out which PC parts to buy for an upgrade
+ I can play L4D from the comfort of a sofa, instead of sitting upright
+ I can play more games when I get back from a long night staring at a PC screen, whereas more PC screen is uncomfortable
- The cost of buying a 360 and an annual Xbox LIVE subscription
- The developers get less money, EA get more money
- From experience the analog sensitivity is too high and imprecise on L4D 360, even on lowest settings, but not enough to heavily detriment the gameplay
- No playing with Steamfriends
- Game is more expensive
- I won't have a widescreen HD TV to take full advantage of the 360's looks, but I have been planning on saving up for one
- Sound quality will be poor through my current TV's in-built speakers

It's a tough call. The 360 opens up more possibilities for playing games in the future, the PC upgrade will see me through the next couple of years of PC games at most. I am, at the moment, undecided.

Just buy both, pre-ordered the day it was available and will be buying a 360 copy.

My computer just passes the minimum system requirements. Granted it's not going to look great but I'm used to that with my computer by now.

I hate playing this game with strangers. HL2.net or bust.

Oh, and on topic, PC...screw consoles :p
