Long topic , simple idea.

Some games we love never get a sequel. At other time a favorite franchise is dumped to never hear from again. This thread is dedicated to those. Which games in this catagory you would like to have a new entry in?
You can also fantasize on how it will be and what should it have.

I'll begin.
I don't know about you but i like Driving games that have nothing to do with driving , i.e , games where your car is equiped for the sole reason to destroy the other players. Notable games : Interstate , Caramageddon.
Now , this sub-genre have been left untoched for a long time and someone need to something about it.

A series like of Interstate could , in today's capabillities , be pure awesome. Next-gen gfx , the large and open-ended roads of the series , the idea of blowing up cars and so on. The game could be easily developed into something more.

Jumping on the idea of customizing the car in it's shape and form , mounting guns and traps form a lrage arsenal , hiring a team to assist you , multiple game-modes , even putting a free roam "gta" like where you can accept challenges and unique missions and so forth. Last Car Standing , Intercept , Get the ___ and many more.

and I havn't mentioned MP or CO-OP possibilities.

So what are your choices? Which game would you rebirth?

I want to see a sequel to Freedom Fighters, XIII and Tribes: Vengeance. The former because Freedom Fighters was so good, and the latter two simply because I want to know what happens and the ****ing bad guys get away in the ending.

I'll support Samon on the Freedom Fighters comment. That game was so kick ass.

Yup, ME WANT SEQUEL TO FREEDOM FIGHTERS DAMMIT !

Vectorman, Vigilante 8, and I think we all deserve a third installment to the Max Payne series.

I will like a GOOD crash bandicoot

and vigilante 8 and also a twisted metal, and I hope that is that ever happen, zero fast and furios influence

If they make another Max Payne, they better make it longer.

Monkey Island. Because once Ron Gilbert left, they didn't know wtf they were doing anymore.

I'd like a Fallout 3. I don't know whether it's still in development or not...

TRIBES. Tribes needs something to wash out that horrible aftertaste Vengeance left.

I agree with Freedom Fighters. I have it on my shelf now and I'm just about to go and check if it's compatable with the 360. I seriously hope it is.

EDIT: They have games like Deer Hunting and that Evil Dead Boomstick game but not Freedom Fighters?! /grabs pitchfork and burning torch

Deus Ex. It's a shame the second game was so poor, as I fear it killed the franchise. One can hope that Warren takes a crack at it in the future.

Tribes definitely needs a new game. Vengeance was extremely mediocre after the the god damn triumph that was Tribes 2. And we gaming could use a few more awesome jetpacks. Hmm... I think I'm going to install the game again.

Red Alert 3 - i want the cheese :cheese:

Battlezone franchise would be great if it were re-started, a very good concept i think could work again

Red Faction - a proper sequel, no RF2 which was balls really. I want a new Red Faction with Geo-Mod set on Mars and :D :D :D

yeah seriously, RF2 had no multiplayer which was terrible.

a red faction with geomod + vehicles + physics engine = FTW

The thread title makes no sense at all.

I'm with the X-Wing vs Tiefighter crowd here.

Also, i'd love a Source remake of The Incredible Machine. Or a similar type of game on the Wii, using the Wiimote.

Oh my God. How could I forget about Red Faction? Geo Mod is about the sexiest thing to ever come out of gaming. I can't believe other games haven't copy and pasted the code.

Yeah I second that, despite Red Faction being a pretty generic FPS (omitting Geo-Mod) I really enjoyed that game and then they released that garbage of a sequel. Arghh!!!!

I just had a great thought Red Faction 3 on the Crysis engine !!!!!:D

A great game that I would really like to see a sequel to is Undying. One of the most atmospheric FPSs I've ever played.

A proper sequel to Blood. Yeah I really liked the original and thought the second one was absolute shit! Come on Monolith!! Oh and I would also like a sequel to Condemned please:cheese: .

Something set in the Grim Fandango universe D:

Also, moar Pikmin.

Diablo III! Diablo II is one of the best selling PC RPG games and yet there is no sign of a third one. At least I just got Titan Quest and all of it's Diablo-goodness to keep me occupied...

(runner ups include: champions of norrath 3, twisted metal black 2, and war of the monsters 2)

We've had The Operative: No One Lives Forever and No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy In Harm's Way. Ignoring the silly Contract J.A.C.K. expansion pack, this is a great series that is in need of another installment.

Considering Monolith has spent the last couple of years trying to scare us with the F.E.A.R. series, now seems like the perfect time for them to go back to some humourous action.

Deus Ex - I wish they had just used the Unreal 2.5 engine instead of making that crappy engine for Invisible War, then they could've focused on making it a better game instead of building an engine.

Panzer Dragoon - For the Nintendo Wii. Targeting with the remote would be amazing.

System Shock 2 - I don't think Bioshock will be as great as I hope it will.

ok definately don't want the DooM series to be over..they can still do a freaking AMAZING DooM 4 (aka Hell On Earth) which would be just pure bad ass...

Full Throttle

One of the greatest Lucasarts games ever, definitely in need of a sequel.

Yea, can someone post me a copy of Freedom Fighters for PC? Please?

Nah, I'd love to see XIII up again - the plot was brill and the cell shading was in a land of its own.
I agree with pvtBones, Dungeon Keeper has to have been one of the best RTSs around.
Oh and a Discworld RPG...
