Can you get create gestures like next tab, last tab and close window?
I tried for quite some time before giving up :/

im not sure about next tab and last tab but close window is default (im assuming you mean tab and not the whole thing, otherwise im not sure)

one nice one though it keeping hold of right click and using the mouse wheel to scroll between tabs

i'm seriously considering reverting back to ie7 for browsing
last week my machine was a little sluggish so I fired up the task manager to see what was slowing the computer down. I found firefox was using a ****ing ridiculous 375mb of RAM after only a few hours of normal browsing. That just isn't right :|
Oh and the crashes and lock ups drive me bananas

I used the Mozilla Suite, but I was forced to switch to Firefox because Mozilla doesn't ****ing know what align="center" means.
Probably because it's obsolete code...

And it must have magically transformed into obsolete code overnight, because that's exactly how Mozilla came not to recognise it. :p Obsoleted by what, exactly? Presumably style sheets, because as we all know, the true purpose of an HTML document is not to contain HTML but to serve as a front for CSS. In other news, milk will no longer be provided in bottles; instead, the bottles will be filled with a white powder that turns into milk substitute when water is added. ;)

but why should you have too? why!
Which is exactly the reasoning I use. If something isn't working as it should, whether a workaround exists or not, I'm going to complain, by virtue of the fact that I shouldn't have to perform a workaround in order to attain expected behaviour. It's called "expected behaviour" for a reason! D:

Is that in FF or opera?
FF has that too, and if you scroll the other way it goes through your history

And i'm addicted to the mouse gestures for next/last tab which made using Opera hard

FF or Opera, mouse gestures is an amazing idea

I knew all of that :/
The only thing that bothers me are the speed tests, which are what caused me to start using Opera when I did.
Opera really kicked ass in almost every speed category
But in the end the ability to customize FF outweighed the minor speed problems.
Customise it in what way? I dunno how firefox could be any more customisable than opera.. someone enlighten me.
Oh and you can set a mouse gesture for switching between tabs, and opera has a few more than firefox, as you can see from the scrollbar ;)

I just got opera 9 beta and it REALLY kicks ass. It has bittorrent built in, widget support, hover over a tab and it shows a small screenshot of the page etc etc. Some of the game widgets are pretty good.

Man, the hate just drips off the screen in some of those mythbusters.
hate ? it's just plain fact, if you weren't so close minded you would be able to read them while being neutral.

For a mouse gesture just paste: new page & go to homepage
To replace the new tab button remove the old one and drag this link onto the toolbar: New Tab
Then you can right click/customise and drag the new button to where the old one was.

He is right, it drips with hate. There may be a lot of facts but that does not mean that they cannot be presented in a biased way, he just shows some of the facts, neglects to show others. And half of those myths are not myth's at all, he just makes up some supposed bullshit that not even the biggest FF fanboy would claim and then disproves it. It's like me saying that nintendo fanboy's say the cube is more powerfull than the 360 and then go on to disporve it, to make N supporters seem like idiots.

Take for example the security issues, now one ever claimed FF was 100%, yet he say's people say that and then lists all the vulnerability's.
Yet if we compare IE to FF, what do we see?

http://secunia.com/product/4227/
he is right that opera is the securest:

Now I'm not sure weather or not Opera is better, cause I have not tried it yet. But I do know that firefox is extremly friendly, it provides very easy acces to extension, theme's and plugins, with a little hack it can browse extemley fast, has great functionality, is Open source, the only negatives I can find with it, are the slow start and the fact is uses java which is a recourse hog.

And a simply 30 second googling turned this out:

http://nanobox.chipx86.com/blog/2005/12/re-firefox-myths.php

http://robert.accettura.com/archives/2005/12/19/firefox-myths/
http://www.thingoid.com/2006/01/the-myth-of-firefox-myths/
I simply put in "firefox myths site debunked"

Now Stern, the problem with you is that you believe to much BS, FF is good but it has it's share of problems, maybe more for you then others. Simply use IE, it's a good browser, I do not know why people hate it, I mean I like FF more but IE is certainly good and in some instances even better, same with Opera and Netscape. Don't have unrealistic expectations from FF just because of all the BS.

<3 Opera, Only issue i have with it is that pressing Ctrl-Enter when typing in the address bar does not automatically add the ".com" to the end of the domain, so you have to add it yourself.

OK I tried Opera, loads very fast, very very fast. Nice clean look. Has standard more features. I still like FF more because it has extensions for everything you can imagine. And thus is more usefull for me.
In any case I found a good, nice and honest comparison between Opera and Fire Fox. http://www.osnews.com/story.php?news_id=7562&page=1
( in the end he likes Opera more)
One thing I need is to be able to paste quote, which I can do in FF with an extension. How do you do that in Opera.

And I do not like the way Opera renders this forum, how do I change it?

Every now-and-then, FF wont render a few of those black lines for me too.

Also with the new Opera 9 you have widgets which are like extensions and pretty cool.

I think Bulletin just uses some code that Opera doesn't use and thats why the border lines don't show. I'm use to it though. It dosn't really take that long, you get use to it pretty quick.
