*silence*

*fart*

(no I'm not 12...I'm 17..sad isn't it?)

Ps: *silence followed by another fart, and then silence*

a minute's silence, sure. But why did it get 2 minute's (I think it was either last year or shortly after it happened)? War mamorial days don't get that. Holocaust memorials don't get that.

lhauert - why do you THINK your thread got closed?

Tell me.

You guys just seem to know the absolute Truth.

Like I'm not supposed to have my own opinion (which doesn't matter anyway because we just can't communicate meaningfully).

The only thing I'm sure about is that we're (almost) all waiting HL2...

The reason it got closed was because a flame war was ignited because you used the word "Merry". Now, I'm not on the side of the fence that says 11th Sept. was the be all and end all of terrorist violence ever and the most unspeakably evil act ever. But with the amount of Americans on these boards - especially Americans who're "patriots" and of the above opinion - you were bound to stir up some trouble... Come on, you know how spiky they are about it - and not without reason.

*even more silence*

And our Swedish foreign minister has been murdered, she died this morning. So its twice the sorrow. And they skipped Simpsons to show memorial programs, dang, that really broke me down in tears ;(

Rofl....atleast your not bashing america like everyone else is dawdler....

You have a sick sense of humour P..if im ever in sweden ill have to visit. I think wed be good freinds.

My views on the terrorist attacks would probably get me flamed so I won't bother.

But whatever happens, death is is a horrible thing.

RIP.

Well, obviously you thought something differently to the majority.

I have a feeling that I'm gonna get the tiniest bit toasted for this:

Right. America, bombed. By terrorists. Got that? This event deserves commemoration, and respect for those who died in this evil act. However. Mass genocide? In many small and poverty-ridden countries. It happens. Persecution of a entire race of people, throughout the centuries. The holocaust, arguably the most evil act in historic memory. When do we get a minute of silence for the farmers killed in Zimbabwe? When do we get a minute of silence for the poor children dying in agony in the 3rd world? I would gladly give two minutes of my day for the WTC victims, and they deserve peace now. But I want recognition for all human lives that are lost during so-called 'political processes' (e.g. Mugabe's elections, Rowandan massacres) since the loss of every man woman and child is felt by someone somewhere. Rest in peace. All of you.

Yep, its a sorry world we live in, isnt it... But, since the topic is active in the forum, you forgot smoking. Kills MILLIONS every year, no one cares. And oddly enough, its on our own turf, it isnt some starving child no one knows exist.

Maybe I should alter that, its a quite comical world we live in :)
Sad, but comical. And a little dull. I miss the gentlemen wars...

People die get over it, my father is dead but i moved on. You should learn how to.

yea man lets take a moment of silence for every person who ever died ever. we take a moment of silence on 9/11 cause it hit so close to home for most of us. i'm not saying its right that we give it a moment of silence while other tragedies dont but who cares. what good does giving a minute of silence do for anything anyway.

btw, this is the dumbest thread ever. was everyone supposed to reply "*silence*"? wtf is the point

U know exactly what a minute of silence does it is our way of paying respect. However since i dont know these guys and well they didnt do anything great i dont feel i should need to. I think Americans (some) are in love with themselves and should try spreading their horizons a bit more... its sorta isolationism but a bit twisted...

Just becasue they're are 12 year olds at the forums doesn't mean that they can't appriciate the silence. I'm at school that the teachers may call upon their students to have a minute of silence. I know my previous Elemtary school had one

you know thats not what I mean. I mean that we shouldn't consider any tragedy MORE important than another, we should make it so we respect all the people who have died in terrorist attacks, and tragedies...

Woooo what the hell guys. This was suppose to be a moment of silence. But all it turned into was a flame party.

This shouldn't stay open.

Just curious. Why did you even make this thread? After all, we are typing and not making noise. Instead you should have had a moments silence to think about it yourself, don't bother bringing other people into it. If they want to think about it, they will, otherwise they will probably be silent for a minute but think about peanuts or something.

This isn't a dig at you, but i took time today to think about it on my own. Its always better to do that, rather than someone telling you to be quiet.
