Umm stern...you think that the thousands of military vehicles in Iraq are making gas prices raise? Do you realize how many cars we have here, those few thousand vehicles aren't going to make much a difference. On top of that, you think when were not at war they just sit there? You don't think they drive around and practice?

Youve created two pages of pointless debate on nothing more than semantics and misinterpretation.
Yes, the usa consumes alot of oil, yes the chinese consumption has risen dramaticly, but then so is india and alot of the developing world.
At the same time , there arent any huge discoveries coming on line that will allow these increases in (global)demand to be easily absorbed in the marketplace.
