a question to militant non-smokers ..why the hell do you care what other people do? why must you make it a point to point out what smokers already know?
oh and to answer your oversimplistic question with an oversimplistic answer: who likes booze the first time they try it, put up your hands ..and I'm talking about ****ing peach sshnappes

I will seriously laugh in your face when you're diagnosed with cancer, and the NHS refuse to pay for any kind of medical treatment.
use another door?
If smokers know the dangers and that, then why the **** do they do it?
Theres only two doors. One in the front, one in the back. Going out the back would result in a almost mile long walk around the building to get to my car which was only 15 ft from the front door.
I find smoking to be pretty much just as offensive as someone having bad body odor. If im talking to someone and they start smoking its really annoying. I have to put up with the nasty smell, and breath the nasty smoke that comes back out of their mouth. And the smell gets in my clothes and I have to smell like cigarettes all day. Then they have to spit and cough all the time, its just really unpleasant to be around.
I really hope you don't drink soda, that you eat very healthily, that you exercise frequently, that you don't ride in cars, that you have never touched a drop of alcohol in your life, and that you are generally a perfect person that does absolutely nothing remotely self-destructive, because you would have to be to not be a total hypocrite by posting this, not to mention an asshole to boot given the condescending, trollish nature of your original post.Pretty simple. Why do you smoke?

And I think it is ****ing disgusting how people can feel smug (or at least claim they do) about people who get lung cancer. People start smoking, maybe from peer pressure, maybe they want some stress relief, whatever, it's the human condition. We all have our foibles and faults.
I (as well as most people) am going through a tough time (like my mother being ill) which causes a fair amount of stress at times, but I don't feel the need to touch a fag to hopefully relieve it. I understand that isn't the case with some people, but what I don't understand is how you can bear to think your lungs look like that, or that you absolutely stink or maybe that in a couple of decades times (or even sooner?) you're gonna think "I wish I didn't start smoking."
As for peer pressure, I'm sure people can resist.
yes every smoker knows this ..we just dont need people like to constantly throw it into our faces ....I really dont care how you feel for even a second ..why should I? it's not like you respect me for my choices, why should I do the same for you?
are you living in a box without any outside contact? this is utterly ridiculous: you're sure? how the hell can you make such a blanket statement for all 6 billion people on this earth?
I've been able to resist most peer pressure.
Don't give a shit. Also, don't want to waste all my money on drugs and the like.
Smoking isn't bad for you.
Maybe some day Stern, your kid'll ask you to stop smoking so you dont die before he grows up.
