(Link in sig to all my components.)

Well, the time has come to order it (actually in about 2 weeks but... whatever). I'm so excited about this build because I'll be good for at least a year. And this system is future-proof, unless I wanted to go SLi (at the moment, it doesn't really appeal to me). I've gone over the parts, swapping and comparing, SO many times, and I believe I have the best system a $1100 budget can withhold.

w00t points for 7800GT

Lookin' purty nice there.

With shipping, I went over by budget by $7 though...

:p
:(
;(

I would definetly suggest a different motherboard. Preferably something that is well recognized. I, personally, have never heard of EpoX and would suggest anything other than that. As you can see, I have an MSI motherboard (Look at my sig), and I wouldn't change for anything. I think my next purchase will no matter what end up being a MSI motherboard. Other than that, everything else looks great.

I like the look of that case a lot.

All in all, good purchase. I would suggest to wait to see the benchmarks on the ATI x1xxxs. I think they will be worth the wait according to The Inquirer.

Hmm, EPoX is all over the place... good reviews up the ass (also on Newegg). I was going to wait for the new ATi stuff to come out so prices would drop but I have a deal with a friend with him buying my current system. So that's not going happen.

:)

Then you might as well purchase that system with an MSI motherboard of course. :)

OH! Nevermind, you can ignore my post. I asked because it sounded like you were trashing MSI, but I just saw your signature. Yeah I'm dumb...

Anyways, great job Qonfused, its going to be a great computer. Also, didn't your name have an underscore?

Yea, it did. Lately I've been changed all my accounts to Qonfused... heh.
Thanks for the comments!

I hate my MSI mobo, so many problems... :( I will never buy from them again.
I'm going DFI or Abit next time.

I can't see your specs but a 7800GT is pretty dang good.
For under $1100...stop tempting me people! ;)

Epox is a good brand. Right up there with DFI and Abit but they usually don't have the fancy stuff.

I just put that exact mobo in my brothers new build, and oc'ed the athlon 64 3000+ from 1.8 to 2.45 and the mobo didn't even blink. Very comprehensive bios, plenty of options, and from a very reputable manufacturer, and for a decent price (lower than anything dfi have to offer). Go with the epox my friend

:)

Epox is top brand, but they where best at nforce2 time...
DFI or ASUS for nforce4 fdw.
