One American GI bashes in the window and shouts, "Owned Biatch!!"

Ya know, I have concluded that in war, there's a very thin line between right and wrong, and usually the people that see the wrong are not in the war.

War is War. That's the only way that it can be put. Same shit happened in Vietnam and I'm sure it also happened in WWI and WW2. And It will probably happen in future wars (wars that I hope will not exist)

War is also riduculous. You think how developed we are as a species, you would think that we would have found ways around war, but humans will be humans and I don't think it will ever change.

I think that all Iraqis would enjoy a visit to America but it is only the select few that hate us like it's thier job. I wonder why they hate us? Anyone that lives in another country please inform me because for all I know my government is spoonfeeding me propaganda bullshit. Where's Tony Blair when you need him?

they never hated america until the 2 gulf wars...in fact saddam was an allie for almost 2 decades

No... the Middle East started disliking us when we stuck the Jews in Israel right after World War II. Our helping them ever since just keeps it going.

from how you were talking I thought people were still in the car.

Its just a car, jesus.

It's all Hitlers fault.

[In reply to earlier post]: Green peace a terrorist group? lol. I was thinking about the political issues surrounding going to the antartic last night and it would probably pretty damn hard to come to any greement on how to split the wealth created by the oil industry between the countrys that have laid claim to parts of the antartic.

By the time we actually started sucking up oil from the antartic Saddam or his hier would be in a pretty good position of power, by that time he may have much more powerfull military, uprooting him then may be alot harder and as oil would be running out cutting off one of the worlds best sources may be devastateing on the world economy.

Uprooting him now and putting a USA friendly goverment in charge will in theory save us the bother later, if it ever has to be done, obviously the Bush administration thinks it will have to be done and that it better be done sooner than later. Just imagine the collateral damage that there would be if Saddam developed a real military and the USA was short on resources from a poor oil market. A war where the sides are more equal would be far more devastateing than the one that has taken place.

Personally If I was in power I would find ways of loseing our dependancys on oil or any non renewable energy source.

that's what they did with saddam in the first place...he had full US support for almost 20 years. It almost always backfires on them...they overthrew democratically elected Mohammad Mossadegh in Iran, and replaced him with the shah, who was an allie. The shah with CIA help established SAVAK, Iran's notorious secret police. There are countless examples of the US propping up murderous regimes only to have it all blow up in their faces decades later.

they knew exactly what they were doing. It doesnt take a genius to see that propping up a madman will have disasterous results...a la Osama and Saddam

Yes, they planned the whole thing :upstare:

So, I'm interested in what you propose as a solution to the middle east

yes they did plan it...why cant you see that? Do you think the US government is that naive, that ignorant of who they are propping up? The list of CIA backed coups that put into power a questionable regime is a mile long

Osama was a radical fundamentalist, the US knew that yet they armed him to the teeth to fight the russians...I guess it was the lesser of 2 evils. The US knew Saddam was murdering his people; he actually commited some his biggest crimes against humanity while an allie of the US. The US supplied him chemical weapons even though they knew he was using them against iranian soldiers. Morality never played a role in their decision making process

it's not so clear cut as a simple solution. The israel/palestine conflict must be settled once and for all...but it's not going to happen...Israel will never relinquish all the territories it annexed over the last 50 years. The US has to stop supporting regimes with human rights abuses. We have to stop depending on oil as the basis of our economy...there's just so much that could have been done or could have been done better

I love these debates. No one agrees with anyone else and you get flamed. Theres a lot to learn from them I notice, I myself have expanded my viewpoint on these issues. Good stuff guys at least the flaming is amusing when it doesnt involve me

CIA has supported almost every major terrorist/dictator on the planet today... As CptStern say, ít just backfired. What is there to be said other than CIA should have been disolved long ago, or at least have a new constitution written down...
