so we all have annoying people at work (I seem to have at least a half-dozen)

what makes them so annoying? why do you find them annoying?

there's a co-worker at work that I often go out for cigarettes with who is a self-described "princess" ..you know the type ..flirts for attention with every man, has the intelligence of a gnat, speaks in a "cutesy" voice, cocks her head when she talks and flips her hair, is the office gossip and thinks she's god's gift to men

this particular person is married but that doesnt stop her from seeking attention from men whenever she can. An example: she wears belly shirts (IMHO inappropriate in an office) and will often come to my desk to chat with me in the morning, she's always stretching with her arms over her head ...further exposing her belly. She has no social awareness, often talking endlessly about shopping shoes, makeup etc ..while I busy mentally killing her in various ways (I kid)

so who at work drives you crazy?

Deja vu?

You've posted this before...sometime somewhere..

hehe probably ..I think I've mentioned some of the annoying people at work ..although I dont think I mentioned "princess" before

I am a loner. I don't really worry about the f***tards at work. I sit in my own little cubicle away from the luriking stupid. When someone approaches me I just throw up my crucifix and shout verses from the bible while red blood oozes from my eyes and I loose complete bowel control. They usually get the picture.

I work with a number of chavs - that's what a dead-end job does to you. It's not that they're bad people (In fact, they are actually the least chavvy chavs I know), but knowing they dropped out of school at 16 with few qualifications but still get a larger paypacket than yourself. Considering I've got a plethora of qualifications. Just pisses me off that no matter how hard I tried at school, I still end up ruining my life.

I actually get on with everyone at work :O shock horror...

The ****wit I hated, Rob, got fired :D

I've got quite the reputation at work :E I'm so proud :cheese:

what kind of rep?

"the dilligent worker"
"the office hottie"
"mr reliable"
"mr I'm going to be fired any day now cuz I dont do anything"?

heh I'm the "nice smart guy" at work ...little do they know I'd like to kill most of them (I kid, again)

Thats me. Although, I also qualify as "The Office Hottie".

-Angry Lawyer

hmmmm an angry lawyer hot? isnt that a contradiction? ;) also didnt you say you worked with "chavs" ...anybody would be a "hottie" next to guys with baggy pants, slick hair, missing teeth and tatoos that say "mom" :E ...not that I doubt you're the office hottie :E

So...that's why you're name's Angry Lawyer? You're angry because you never became a Lawyer?

On topic: There are plenty of people at my school I can't stand...The worst has got to be the 'super overachievers'...you know, the people who always get mad when they get a 95 on a quiz...seriously..sit down, shut up and enjoy your free trip to Yale or Harvard, or wherever you end up...god...

:D

I love my co-workers, such diverse people, such characters!

There was some guy who I used to work with, basically if you looked at him he'd come over and tell you his lifes story and I lieterally mean anything and everything and he was smelly and looked like milhouse from the simpsons lol..

There's another co-worker who is way too opinionated and always goes on about his divorce and his kid and what he thinks and blah blah blah and you're just like dear god i dont care! shut up!!

Partly. I wish I'd chosen Law as a course at school, because I wouldn't have ended up at the hell I'm at right now.

cheer up, look on the bright side ..dead-end jobs always are good motivators to find a better job

True, one day my coding work will mean something. Then again, I've researched the majority of software companies in my local area, and none of them are interested right now, so I'm pretty trapped.
Still, I do have a reason for staying. And it's not the crappy wages.

One idiot guy i work with is an absolute prat, he likes to control a situation, uses his mouth, thinks he's God's gift to women and walks up behind men and spanks their arse when they aren't paying attention.

People won't hang out with him, but he will hang out with people until they're sick and tired of him to a point of wanting to kill him. One day, he comes up behind bouncing up and down, proclaims himself to be one of the hardest people in the local area as he does karate, states he could beat me in a fight, and literally bounces off, leaving me with a "what the heck was that all about" expression on my face. When we're out at a club, he will always dance around women until they throw themselves through the nearest window or give him a good, sharp knee to the groin , there are other times when he will take off his shirt and show off his six pack, which he only has because he under eats and has absolutely no fat at all on him, he has no muscle either, but just less fat.

People at my job always say 'good night then was it?' :D One random old guy used to come in, and if I (or any other guy) looked tired, he'd say 'So, what was her name then?' and wink cheesily :|

Maybe he should look for a worse job to help him get a better job sooner.

I seem to get on with everything I work with and get to know. There's not really anyone I find annoying but there are some funny, whacky people where I work. I work in a Warehouse for Orange (I'm 19) and do various jobs in there.

Heres a question for you.

After you here your managers rant on about customers alway being right, you expect customers to be a single-body. So how come is it that when you answer a customers question, another one asks you the same question 15 minutes later?

But then again my managers put up notices saying "Remember, customers are not always right"

I hate the people at work who don't carry their weight.
There was some really fat kid who was so lazy it was unbelieveable, he made a racist joke about the district manager (who is asian) and got fired so i was happy.

Everyone at my work smokes which is annoying.

I thought you can't smoke inside buildings? Or are you talking about the annoying cigarette breaks people take?

I can understand why people would want to go to the toilet, but a stink-stick?

Most annoying people at work? Ha, this is easy.

1. The boss.
2. The customers.

They all go for a "ciggie break"
Then they go "are you coming out for a cigarette?"
"oh i forgot you don't smoke"
****ing idiots act like i'm the odd one out.
I'll be the one laughing as i climb the mountains with my healthy lungs and they are coughing their blackened lungs through their noses.

=0...Cigarettes are bad for you........

Anyway, there's an old guy here whose always asking for favors. Gets annoying as f*ck

Just about anyone who plays CS, I thought it was just bad memories and a few bad people I remember but I was so wrong, it is everyone...I don't have a job.

i only have 2 coworkers and there pretty cool. however, previous work experiences havent been as pleasant.

I'm lucky that only 3 out of 10 people at my work smoke but we get along, plus only 1 person gets to go on a cig-break at a time so as to not waste time chatting to someone else :)

Haha, that's what I feel like doing.

I want to be like Brain Blessed, and climb Mount Everest, while being extremely loud!

WHAT? GORDON'S ALIVE!

I tend to get on with most people, no conflicts.

I just totally blank the idiots out from my mind. I don't really like Smokers that don't respect non-smoker's rights to clean air, but the ones that don't make a big fuss about going to get a cigarette break, I'm ok with.

I prefer taking my breaks alone anyway.

The last job I had, I worked in a college, as a techie.

The lecturers were so annoying, they break everything they touch and I have to go and fix it.

One guy used to come into my office/cupboard thing and tell me how he thought my cupboard was untidy, yet I had to move out of my old office,
so he could move in with his small desk and filing cabinet, while I had to move 2 servers, 6 desktop PCs, tools, equipment, leads, jacks etc into a 7' by 5' cupboard and work in there!

Then there was this insane scotish guy, who would come in, mumble some inane crap at me, break the photocopier and bugger off.

My supervisor, she would follow me around, breathing down my neck while i'm trying to work, and humiliate me in front of a class of IT students and generally interfere.

Worst of all, because I was on an apprentiship, the tutor from my course, would randomly appear and start telling me how to do my job, make complaints about me because.... I don't know why he did that, but it pissed me off all the same.

sigh.

why is it a waste of time? dont you have set breaks in the UK?
in canada you're entitled to 2 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch break (by law). It takes me less than 15 minutes to have a cig although slightly more than usual if I'm out with someone ..but the older you get and the more senority you have, the more flexible they are

are you young? or young looking? I ask because many older people have pre-conceived notions of what young people who've just entered the workforce are like. Most have the attitude that you're all slackers until you surprise them and prove them wrong. I hate to say it but young people have to work twice as hard to get any sort of respect ...it's just the way it is and the way it's always been. Personally I dont do that.

So CptStern, we have described the worst people in our work place, who do you think is worst? I very much doubt any of you chaps can come close to be annoying as the idiot i'm talking about.
