edit: Just looked at Feath's post in my thread and it looks like something i have, but only mildly. Phimosis is a condition in men where you can not retract you're foreskin at all over the head of your penis and you need to be circumcised or have a slit put in the foreskin, i have a mild version of it where i can only retract it when my penis is flacid

Erm... I can't believe where this thread has gone, or that I am saying this, but I think it'll help you considerably:
If you're inclined to a bit of the old self-abuse, be a bit more, ahem, strenous on the... uh, return stroke, than you might normally be. Or of course have someone else do it for you ;). Not so that it hurts, obviously, but just so that you can feel a bit of ...uh, tension on the foreskin.
Yes, I did have the same problem, and after reading about it on Wikipedia, after reviewing the options (surgery :o, steroid creams, :o stretching) it has worked for me, over the course of about nine months. That is, of course, if it bothers you.

80% of newborns are circumcised in the southern US. It seems there are regional differences in circumcision. In the US as a whole, it's about 60%.

No one i know is, in sweden almost no one is. When i came to a american school it was a standard that everyone was, one girl even asked me if i remember when i was circumficed...she didnt even ask me if i was. They also think its sick and strange if you are not, this one guy wasnt and they made a huge thing about it :/.

And whats all this bullshit about your dick getting infected if your not? Its the other way around, without it you are exposed to all kinds of stuff, but with it, its protected by a layer of skin.

Anyways, I think it doesn't really matter in hygiene. I mean, after peeing you'll probably still get some pee on it. After or during sex you'll still get all kinds of fluids on it. Bacteria will also be able to enter. Doesn't really matter :p

Urine and the "fluids" associated with sex should both be sterile (unless theres an infection involved)... so they shouldnt have any bacteria on their own

But you're right about the infection and also right about the "fluids" :p Although I don't know if sperm is completely sterile :|
Urine can be used to sterilize wounds (cuts and bruises), however.

Dunno about that, but it's often used in combat situations if there aren't any medical supplies in the vicinity. Only use it on exterior wounds though :p

I would've hoped we didn't have any female members who'd been subject to female "circumcision" - or female genital mutilation as it's often called, because in this case circumcision seems like a euphemism rather than a genuine description.
A hideous practise.

For a while I worked for a women's rights charity on a campaign to raise awareness about domestic abuse and help fund hostels for victims, etc. Their next campaign was all about female genital mutilation and I'm slightly ashamed to say that I didn't help out - partly because the timing was somewhat awkward, but a large part of the reason was because I just couldn't stomach it.

Yeah, we saw a documentary on the practice in school, and many girls were appalled. One girl even refused to continue to watch it. A lot of the guys were also like "wtf :|"

That stuff has never bothered me.

Well I mean it's horrible that it happens yeah but like seeing it, I don't really care.

Videos in drivers ed class, etc, people would cry or leave sick and I didn't really understand why. It's a fact of life and happens all the time. It's not funny, happy, or a good thing but it just is.

I dunno I've always been able to see things like those without any sort of bad reaction (besides maybe feeling angry or something if it's murder etc) but not on a physical level of sick etc.

Guess thats why shock sites don't bother me, I usually laugh out loud. First time I saw goatse = biggest ****ing LOL.

Being circumcised though when you're older causes a lot more problems, the head is super sensitive so if it rubbing against the inside of your jeans, it's going to be very... :| :eek:. You will also need to refrain from making love to a good woman for a while as well as masterbation.

Sinkoman: Thankfully, I wouldn't have had to see it in person (probably not in pictures either - the charity weren't a complete shock-them-into-submission outfit, they were far cleverer than that) but having to work with the candid descriptions and testimonies of victims (and they are, because it's almost always against their will) think a lot about how it's done and what the consequences are, etc. Seeing as it's a charity, I would have found some relief in the idea that it was all to raise awareness and reduce the instances of it happening, but I just couldn't stomach it, and I'm not particularly proud of that.

Im a muslim and i circumcised mine when i was 8. according to my religion, it is hygenic to have a circumcised penis, cuz like some of u said, there can be infections. it makes the dick alot bigger, and its easier to have sex with a woman. i dun have to clean the ring around it, just gets washed off by the water.
