I think it would be nice to see a developer die. It does not show us how we tackle the A.I or how to play the game properly with god mode. It would be more insightful and hilarious.

Yeah, it was already said that the PC version was going to be $60. The price will eventually come down, or I won't buy it. It doesn't bother me at all. I'll play something else and be just as entertained.

Activision and other publishers don't dictate how much a game is worth, consumers do. If only all consumers realized that, games would be cheaper today.

I guess these days they want us to pay extra for the security device and the DRM copy protection. These things don't have any value to me, so I won't be paying for them. If they want to spend millions to protect their game, then that's their money, not mine.

Seems like it would be cheaper for everyone - including the publisher - if they just used some cheap-o copy protection. They should only be trying to keep people honest. A determined person is going to get a copy of it regardless of how secure it is. Your average computer user is not going to be able to defeat even the most crude form of DRM.

When I lock the door of my car, it is to keep people honest. It's not going to stop anyone determined to get in. The only thing stopping them is a pane of glass.
 
I'm not worried about the cost at all. I can go into town right now and see what's at the number one/latest release spot in our local GAME stores then go around to about 10 other different stores and find it differently priced in each one. I always take official retail prices with a pinch of salt. I don't think I've ever seen a game priced the same in more than two stores around here, both new and preowned.

That's not to debunk the prices being thrown around here of course, or the facts on whether or not they are official, right, wrong or whatever. I'm just saying.
 
Only problem I foresee is that this will take a long time to drop in price, after all you can still get cod 4 and 5 at full price in alot of stores.

Get 'em pretty cheap in a lot too. My advice: steer away from the major game retailers.

I got Far Cry 2 in ASDA on release for 35 quid. 360 version.
 
yeah true I tend to avoid them as they can seriously take the piss when it comes to prices but if I walk into gamestation I can't help but say WTF when COD4 is still £40

That vid actually made me feel semi-interested in buying the game, but I'm torn between my hate for Activision-Blizzard and my love for Call Of Duty..
 
The first COD MW almost made my 17 year old brother sign up to the military. :shakey fist: At least I spot it as a major influence, since he used to play it constantly.
 
You can actually get MW2 for the PC for 40 euro, like here (Dutch site). I actually forgot about that site and preordererd it elsewhere for 47.50 (50 with shipping, whereas the other has no shipping costs). Doh!

It a pick axe or whatever they are called from when you climb the mountain in the singleplayer, it's a perk, I think.

I will propably pick up the normal edition for Xbox 360, since I don't see any point in the hardened or prestige editions.
 
Man US cities have so much bad luck in fiction.
 
God, I told myself that I wouldn't get hyped for this game and to just ignore it until it came out, but now I'm really looking forwards to playing this.
 
Ok, as much as I wanted to not want this game, I have to admit, I'm a graphics whore and this game looks absolutely astounding. Probably a day 1 purchase for me. I may even get a new video card just to make sure my PC can keep up.
 
tbh, November is rolling in much faster than I hoped. its all ready the 5th of October and 1 month and 5 days I'll be playing this beast! also I may get a 360 version and a PC version to get the best of both worlds!

Really? The first time I watched the new trailer I thought the graphics were pretty meh to be honest. Everything seems too brown to me.

But i'll buy it anyway.

You should probably look at more trailers or screenshots. This game has a brand new world of colours involved. MW had the same basic washed out colour scheme everywhere in everything it did. This game looks booooooty-full.
 
Will this one do the "endless swarms of enemies until you pass an invisible boundary" over and over like other COD titles? I despise this game play mechanic and wouldn't even consider this if it were the case. Otherwise the game looks nice and might be tempting.
 
I still don't want it. I don't see anything special about this game.

First the PC version is set at a higher price. Really, you think that's a good idea? I definitely laughed out loud. Now they are going to release it later too?

I don't know what their intention is, but shenanigans like this make me not want the game. Really.

Kotick: "PC gamers have expensive computers, which obviously means they can afford more expensive games. Make it $80."
<game is released, almost nobody buys the PC version>
Kotick: "PC gaming is dead. Console only from this point on, boys."
