I literally made the decision just this morning.

*Prepares for the bitch that weening off meat is going to be*

it's really not that hard ...just go cold turkey :naughty:

so long as you know why you're going vegetarian ...however this is not the place to announce it ..you'll know why by about the 30th reply of "I like my meat raw, bloody and still breathing, with seal eyes!!! mmm-mmm good eats" ..there's already people lining up to pounce over any reasoning for going vegetarian you may have

It's not that bad. You can still eat corned beef. Yum.

Sick of meat? D:

I guess you've never had a good fillet mignon.

He's never had a good steak.

Big, meaty steak.

omg

Thank god that you can still eat hamburgers because that is certainly not meat. :p

I am a vegetarian too. But Im not a strict vegetarian. I eat beef and pork. And chicken. But not fish, because thats just disgusting!

Did you just post a similar thread in Ask/Tell at SA?

Welcome, I am also a vegetarian (everyone probably forgot, its not like I mentioned it more than once). It's mostly because of my religion, but after a while you kinda just don't like the smell or sight of it.

I was planning on going vegetarian due to a near-by abattoir putting me off it. Hearing pigs squealing with death is not exactly great.

Let me get this straight. By stopping eating meat, you are giving something new a try?

That's like lopping all your limbs off because you've never done it before. I couldn't live without my bacon teacakes every morning. I just couldn't.

I'll eat two baby sheep, five chubby baby pigs, and thirteen big fat cows just for you.

I wish the best of luck to you. Never being able to eat a big juicy stake with the perfect amount of A1 steak sauce on it....

He can eat stakes. Vegetarians have no qualms about devouring wood.

Save a cow. Eat a vegetarian.

Hell, I couldn't do it. Fair play for at least trying. You can have those simply incredible vegetarian sausages o_O

Why not becaome a vegan while you're at it? I know people who are, and they say it's doing wonders for the health.

I like vegetarian bacon. Seriously! And this is ontopic, this time!
I also like exhausting stupid gags that were always probably annoying.

I'll never become a vegetarian. I'm thinking it's just impossible I could pull away from eating meat. My step sister's 18, she's been a vegetarian since she was like 9. She's been doing well with it, and I'm sure it would be healthier.. but... no... the steaks... the chops... all those cows and chickens and piggies and sea life in my stomach... it's one of the things I live for, those animals' flesh on my plate...

Thats great, I'm proud of you for doing what you feel is right.

I suggest you look up a bit of things about being a vegetarian if you haven't looked into it yet. I've heard that without meat, its suggested that you eat a certain verity of vegetables that give you the proper amount of protein (or something like that).

What the **** is vegetarian bacon?!

Well... for example there is vegetarian "meat" which is made out of soy and pate made out of soy. I've tried them and they taste rather good, not as good as the originals but still.

Why would you bother? I love meat. I'm only going to live once and do not feel the need to have to stop eating it. I shall enjoy it while I can!
/Tucks into some Gammon with honey.

I couldn't do it. I think I have meat pretty much everyday. Love the stuff. Cannot beat a BBQ.

I can't really stand most of the crap they try to sell off as decent food (this soy crap). But some is actually pretty ok, tofu hot dogs taste good only with jalapenos, mustard, and ketchup, relish is optional. Tofu hamburgers only sometimes taste good (if you're hungry enough for one on a sandwich), being Indian, I have a variety of religious foods that have become indigenous to my taste buds and that I can't live too long without :)

i went vegetarian for a while some years ago, and i would recommend everyone to try it out only because meatballs or any meat tastes so ****ing godlike when you quit

I could never give up meat, I just like it too damn much. Though I respect people who have the will-power.

Jeez, let him be a vegetarian. No need to criticize him for nothing :|
All I hope is that you'll be an intelligent veggie, because a friend of mine wasn't and she pretty much fainted because she didn't eat enough suppositories.

Vegetarian meat just seems to be taking away some of the point to me ...

Animals eat animals, and we're just animals. At least we kill it humanely. (sometimes) Look at the lions!
