It's interesting how one little word can change the entire "feel" of a story. That and they got away with writing it like that.

Its like its been deliberately changed to "finding" as well, gramatically, it should say "Finding bread and soda at..." rather than "Finding bread and soda from.." the latter would be better suited to having the word "looting" in the place of "finding"

Thats why I think its been copy edited to "finding" at a later time.

If you need the food it's fine IMO, but looting of other businesses is completely disgusting. People are still trapped in their homes and the city is in ruin, and all the people can think about is robbing stores? Honestly, they had to station police officers in some stores to prevent looting, do you have any idea how many people could be saved by those police officers if they didnt have to stand around in an electronics store?

Okay, maybe just a little. But I'd also go to my favorite shops (IE the little record stores that only have one store and barely scrape by as it is because they can't really compete with Best Buy and Wal-Mart in prices) and make sure no one loots there.

I wouldn't loot. It may have something to do with being in a family of 7 to be looking after. If anything, I would "loot" some food. But not...stuff. I'm guessing all the guys saying they would steal stuff from stores live by themselves or don't particularly care for the people around them if their first thought during a flood was "free stuff!"
