City 17 accents

Clueless? Tell me, are there or are there not people who say "Princess Dianer" or "Arener" instead of 'Arena". I spent a week in the tourist trap city of London and heard this kind of 'proper' english everywhere I went. Hence why I wrote "Proper London English 101". People pronounce words like this in your ****ry, you just won't admit it.

You just can't take a joke, and accuse me of not being able to read 3 lines of text.

I am waiting for your serious comeback.

Dude, you need to learn to lighten up. The dialect of english you refer to is known as "Cockney". You'll hear that most around the London area. Besides, Eastern Europe is a long way from London. I'll put it this way, German's and Russians do not have an English accent.

Speaking of movies with wrong accents, anyone else notice that all the Russians in "Enemy At The Gates" had English accent. Just an observation.... hehehehe

Another random piece of idiosyncrocy (I think that's the right word). In the movie of "The Great Escape", Steve McQueen's character steals a motorcycle from a German soldier. The motorcycle is a BSA, manufactured and used only by the British and Australian military.

Not that I'm whinging, I find all 3 above products (Half Life 2 e3 movies; Enemy at the Gates; The Great Escape) to be quite enjoyable and fun.

Cockney is very hard accent, I tried to learn how the real english poeple pronounce the words. I ve been living in London for four years now and my english is 7.0 out of 10.

People tell me I have a north london accent. I don't know how I got a north london accent, considering I've lived my entire life in Australia. hmm, go figure.

Isn't Bungie located in the UK? That's the reason for the word "lift".

I'd be rolling my eyes at the opinion people are expressing to the Aussie accent, but I have to admit the voice overs in Halo are kinda cool.

Remember in Deus Ex at that entrance to the nightclub those two girls who you can help get inside? Those were the most horrible, terrible, most poorly acted voice overs I have ever heard in any video game. I swear that I almost stopped playing the game right there and then. Still my anger stirs whenever I remember one of them saying "Thanks fuh ge'tin' us in, Maute". It's just pure and plainly horrible.
