I was just thinking about buying COD4 today, and this would interest me.
 
for those of you that are still feeling skeptical about this game, i suggest waiting for a multiplayer demo... cause its alot of fun
i especially like the "challenges" that you can complete to earn extra xp points

I just tried to play the Demo and got an astounding 15 fps. :|


Wow, I got more fps in Crysis on high. About twice as much.


Edit: no matter what settings I put it on, I still get no more than 20 fps...
 
Bought this today and have to say I'm liking it a lot. The guns feel a little floaty, but otherwise it's all good. Definitely recommended on the basis of the few hours I've put in so far. :)

Looking at IW's track record with demos... I doubt we'll be seeing an MP demo ever. :(
I loved the SP demo, I can only imagine what the full campaign is like.

But, the MP seems to be where it's at this time around... I sincerely hope that IW is paying attention to the community and will release some sort of MP demo.
 
honestly, the single player demo DOES NOT do the campaign justice
i personally would have used the first mission for the demo

This problem seems to be fixed. I'm finally joining first second.
 
Got to see this game in action at a friend's place last night. One word review: FRANTIC. It looked and sounded really nice. Felt very Call of Duty-ish with the enemies and getting to the next respawn checkpoints. Not enough to get me to buy a 360, but it was a nice game.
 
Having played this game, I can say that this FPS makes Bioshock run to it's mommy.

Plus, the game begins with the exploits of SAS, which defaults to win!
 
There is not going to be a multiplayer demo a level designer for IW that posts in the haus confirmed it.

I don't trust people with mustaches, for that matter I don't trust people with berets either, they're always evil.
 
can any1 confirm the connection issue has been fixed? Dont want to drive like a maniac on the M66 to find its still ****ed
 
There are so very, very many things wrong with the weapons and equipment in this game. Kinda ruins it for me, because it seems I'm the only one who noticed. :(

Still fun though. :)

It's actually really crap. It's noticable when you actually learn about it, but in combat you never cycle through enemies by scope-up-scope-down aimbot, you just never think about it. Same for online.
 
I'm about to take this game back.

It runs like complete shit, even on my system.

I'm talking like no better than 40 fps on 640x480 with everything on low.

Its okay. Got the same intensity as the other CoDs, but right now I dont need another shooter unless it REALLY impresses me, which this doesnt.

Story, above average
Gameplay, it's pretty good
Friendly AI, utterly utterly crap, wtf, pos, gtfo out of my way you stupid fag, wtf stop getting in my way, why won't you cover me nerf herding bizitch
Sound, average
 
I'm going to return this and get Crysis instead. At least that game runs above 15 fps.

I was going to play this game, but it was just utter crap.
 
And yet look at the score with the games mediocrity.

Sure, it has 1 or 2 levels that i can say are some of the best ive ever played, but the rest is just...it could be any other shooter as far as im concerned. I spent half the game thinking 'Black Hawk Down' for some reason.
 
Neo, I'm confused. I'm running most of my shit on high, and staying steady *i'm guessing* 30 FPS....I wonder why your system is ****ed?
 
Didn't take long for cheaters to ruin this game. I'm seeing people run full sprint insta headshot with sniper rifles without even holding their breath and they're not even waiting for the scope to finish zooming. Then there's the guys who warp around knifing everybody claiming they're just "lagging"...

Seriously, how do people find shit like that fun? Maybe they just do it so they can win at least something in their meaningless lives.

Well some of them justify it by claiming that they're too good to begin with and they're bored with the game already so they cheat because it's "fun". Others need the hax because they're simply too frustrated after getting spawn raped one too many times. Then you also have the category of people who just enjoy getting a rise out of people. All in all, they're the scum of the internets because most likely they're the same people who troll forum boards or spend their free time spouting bullshit on youtube comments.
 
Not to mention the people that care more about scoreboards and points then actually having fun with the people around them.

Loathe cheaters.
