Some girl used to go to my school a while ago before moving back to the United States. One day, somebody came across a bunch of photos of her and another girl in erotic poses and shit. No nudity, but it didn't paint them in the best light.

Any way, me and my friends posted it up on our own forum and we all had a good time. It hasn't left the forum, at least to my knowledge. Eventually, some of her friends told her and she got all pissy about it. My brother, being the cuddle bitch he is, was pretty much her contact about this for the entire time, but I didn't care. He wasn't going to ****ing do anything. She bitched, moaned, told us to take it off, but we didn't. I guess that's what you achieve when you make angry threats through people that aren't ****ing affiliated with the forum.

Although, Absinthe you do need written consent from the person in the photograph to use it on the internet, on advertisements, and anything else that would display their image.

I recall a news story not so long ago. A man about 30 years ago sent his picture to a company for modeling (I think), and he never heard back from the company ever again. One day while he was in a grocery store, his wife pointed out to him that a figure on a carton looked vaguely like him. He then proceeded to sue the company for using his photograph without his consent. He then recieved reparations from the company for the image. He recieved over $3 million. It was amazing.

Goes to show you.. Do not use someones picture without consent.

In this case, those pictures can ruin a person's life. Like I previously posted, he shouldn't have posted them without her consent. She says she wants you to take them off, then by all means, take the pictures off. Why would you leave them up with the risk of being sued? But I don't do that to my friends. Wouldn't really need to any way, since we have an online library of pics of us looking like idiots.

While I'm not claiming to be in the right on this issue, I have little sympathy for a girl who was dumb enough to expose herself like that at a party and then freely distribute the pics among her circle of peers. That's not exactly the kind of behavior that expresses caution around the photos' existence. And if she was really so worried about them being seen, then she could have done without the drama, consequently making the photos the center of attention.

Had she expressed her concerns about this directly to us, we'd be happy to oblige. But as it stands, we got threats of lawsuits and profanity, and I don't like to be intimidated. If she wants to play hard ball, I'll return the favor, and until she can actually make a case against us, I'm more in favor of the pics staying up.

She's 16. That is the age of consent in Switzerland.

The only time she has ever asked me to take them down was yesterday, but I can't do anything about it. I have directed her to more relevant people.

Again, a simple post asking us to take the pictures off would have been met with results in her favor. But I and others don't take kindly to threats and insults.
