Wow, you know.. you could say that the picture signifies humanity's existance (as humans) becoming forever changed (into combine) via the whim of one egotistical pawn (breen)...
Depending on how you look at it, that picture is very deep..
 
Thats a nice one, as are all the others, but that uh "color banding" if thats what im noticing, is definitely getting old. You should do something different if you make another, like black and whiteness or something i dunno.
Good stuff anyway, "Oblivious Serenade" is my current wallpaper too btw :D

BTW that 'color-banding' thingy, it's called the 'cutout' effect (officially anyway :sleep: )

Already asked him to, and he did. But just to clean things up I'm gonna merge them all together... This should be fun *makes a copy of each thread first* (atleast merging threads is something Munro _can't_ undo haha) :E

There, merged, sorted :)

oh and its called banding :p and it should only ever be seen when running in 16bit mode, and even then its not a good thing. It just ends up making it look like there's not enough colors on the image, also ruins any realism it might have had. So yeah they'd look much nicer without.

Great Wallpapers anyway. Can you make one 1280x768 so they won't look stretched in my widescreen monitor :D

i know but since i used screenshot as base, i can only take screenshots at 1024 resolution, y'know :P Is there any console commands, like in DOOM3 that lets you take screenies that are bigger than your current monitor resolution? Just wondering.

cut a few pixels off the top and bottom ;)
 
It's not like that, I mean, like your monitor is 1024x768, right? And you wanna take a screenshot at 1600x1200 in-game. DOOM 3 can do that with a console command (but the side-effect was that the cubemaps will look horrid) But I dunno for HL2, because if I can do 5that then I can produce high-resolution wallpapers without fears of pixellation. :(

Fenric is right. Just cut out a few. Take 1280x1024 as reference. If it's 1280x768 in widescreen, that means it's 256 pixels less. 256 is 25% of 1024.

To make a 1024x768 screenie widescreen, cut it out until it's less 25% of 768... that is..take 192 pixels from horizontal (equally from top and bottom, 96 pixels each) to make it 1024x576


And you're done!

Like bliink said, depending on how you look at it, it's very deep.

I don't have any ideas for you right now, but I doubt you'll have trouble coming up with something :)
 
You use Opera? How's the thing? My friend say it was awesome but I never really try it out. I'm currently using Mozilla Firefox :)

Opera is awesome, best browser around. I've never seen a single in-post ad in this forum, not sure if it's incompatibility or great adblock, but it's great either way.

The 7.51 ver, that they're distributing now is too clunky, but the 8.00 BETA1 that I use is great. I have the registered version, but the free one comes with ads. Of course, there are ways around that :)

I mean, you use Photoshot, right ?
