Crysis beta is out!

With dx9, ou cant shoot tee branches off and a few other things, so it definately has its affects. I was running it on high and its looked unreal, kind of choppy, but what do you expect with a 4400?

im about to order these:

Processor

Mobo

arent the asus p5k crossfire mobos? (the K versions are crossfire ready) you're getting/have an nvidia card right?

I have a P5k deluxe, and an 8800. You only really need the advantages of a crossfire board/SLI board if you are ever going to buy 2 cards, for which I don't see many advantages.

yeah, even though it only supports Crossfire, it'll take an Nvidia card - Or that's what I understand, anyway.

To be honest, SLI / Crossfire is pretty useless anyway.

Ya, I was wondering that...thing is, I have read alot of good reviews for the P5K. Anyone know the equivalent sli?

ya it sounds good, I too was looking at it ..mostly because of the fsb, support for ddr3 and support for penryn ..I think the sli version is p5-sli ..not sure though

That's the one I just got, has great reviews & seems to be working very well so far. Good layout, seems quality all around (visually), comes with enouhg extra cables and stuff . . . no complaints really (except maybe no SLI, but SLI is a waste).

it's a smaller die process meaning better faster performing cpus (eventually) with less heat generated ...also the p5n-e is the older chipset ..the p35 is the current chipset ...it also supports ddr3 ram ..which isnt even on the market yet

its out months ago... look here: www.overclockers.co.uk

You can buy DDR3, its expensive as hell though. They are changing a few things for the new chip but nothing major. About up to 7% performance increase from current chips, according to some preview on AnandTech.

Hate you Fileplanet. Oh well, I'll wait to play the actual demo.

I cant find the P35 with Sli..does it exist?

I guess not .. perhaps its crossfire only ..I be confused ..where the hell is asus?

arghh downloading at a shit 10kbps on bittorrent, might as well wait for demo..

Think about it though. When you're working on a project for 4 years, and then when you're within two months of release, would you want to risk ruining the game or delaying it by changing something major? Nope.

Unless they are horrible balance issues, system incompatibility, an exploit, or one of many things that these "betas" have shown yet they release it anyway because, oh my, it's gold already and off to the presses. It's why we have baneful patches within 48 hours of release.

My point is: stop perverting the beta process as marketing tools. If it's a demo, and this is, call it such.

Get a few good mates together and any game can become fun. I'm not bashing Crysis here I will be buying it. Just for all the nay sayers that put a game down simply because of retards on a Pub server.

those were included in the beta as tutorials, just have music dubbed over...thought they were actual gameplay

maybe ill record a little one tonight

So if Im not doing sli, would that mobo and processor be a good match?

Wow, this is actually quite the credible multiplayer instead of the **** up that was far cry's multiplayer. Can't wait.

eek, better not post a demo then, dont wanna get banned by the NDA!!!!

can everyone who played it please post their specs and tell us what settings you were playing with and how much fps/performance u got! thx

Preferably with those with cards that aren't in the 8 series. :D

Fixed, as it has nothing to with the cards you have, but rather the type of driver and OS you have :smoking:

Wait, what.

So I can have say, a Geforce 2 MX and be able to run Crysis on medium/low by just having the latest and greatest drivers and having Windows XP?

:|, I'm just a bit concerned that my system won't cut it.

AMD Athlon 2800+ XP 2.4ghz
2gbs of ram
7600GSOC BFG 512mb

Specs are in my sig. I get about 50FPS inside, and about 20 outside, often slowing to 5-10 during battle.

Gah. Missed it. Oh well, that's okay. Not really interested until the full game comes out anyways.

No worries anyway, Demo is out on the 25th \O/.

Might beable to upgrade in time, just have to swallow it if I have to wait for November. Farking Dodgy timing for it all though, I'll end up buying a decent dual core if I want to play the demo, and then the quads will come out, and oh shi 'head esplodes'.
