Crysis beta is out!

Well I dunno, but I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be. I'm guessing there will be a DX9/DX10 option.
 
Do you guys think ill be able to run on medium setting at 1024x720 using the following?

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2GHz
2gb PC3200
7800GT 256

I will hopefully be getting a quad core setup this holiday season, but I want to know if my PC can hack it until then.
 
Like I said before, seems to be down to your processor bottlenecking the rest of the system, so your 7800 will probably not be using its full potential.

You said you were getting quad core, two problems; Motherboard and RAM type.

Are you going with AMD or Intel? Because AMD are releasing their Quad Core lineup this December , it might still be full price, but you can get a quad core for about $300 (£160) by intel

Woah he had 46 videos in total and there all gone! He must have gotten banned or he just left and deleted all the videos . Good thing i save most of the crysis ones .
 
When will the beta be available for the rest of us poor saps?

I know people with a Founders Club subscription have receievd theirs, but their are still several batches that haven't been distributed.
 
Man by the time the 2nd batch is released the ****ing game will be out...
 
this nda thing is stupid, I respect crytek but stop worrying about NDAs and just worry about bug fixing etc. Having people, (forum mods) run around various forums requesting videos, screenshots and the like be deleted is serious overkill and ridiculously hard to control even with 20 or 30 people doing it.

I was wondering where that page went. They don't exactly advertise its existence on their home page.

Is their even a Client file, I type in the password shown, and it just takes me back to that screen?
 
Jeez, Crysis beta and TF2 beta on the same day. I've got my work cut out for me!
 
Because all the servers are US/EU based (correct if wrong) I'll give a key to someone who needs one come morning. Don't care much for playing beta products as it is.

I want!!!! PLEASE!!!! Im also gona do benchmarks etc and test it on both 32 bit and 64 bit os to test difference in performance! check PMs
 
Wow, it actually runs better than I expected on my now outdated rig:

AMD64 3200+
1gb pc3200
6800GT

I get like 20-30fps on lowest settings at 1024x768.

I know, these Crysis threads need less tech talk, more gameplay talk! I think the actual Crysis thread is probably 90% graphics/computer spec, 10% chat about gameplay. Probably the actual outcome of the game, too.

I've been waiting foe this game since it was first discovered and it feels like im the last person to get to play this game, I cant wait till the 25th for the single player demo i need to play now!!!! Can someone find it in there heart to let there key go?? :(

Well that's the point - there doesn't seem to be much, if anything, to discuss except for the run of the mill stuff like weapons and the nano deely suits equipment... thingy. Characters? Atmosphere? Story? All I see is talk about how the graphics look and, to me, I don't see the appeal in that alone.
