Crysis Dx10 video

Holy Smokes!!
That looks fantastic!

Pity im a poor student:angry:

DX10 screenshots make a world of difference to this game. Awesome awesome stuff.

Damn!! Can't download the second video , keeps tellin' me server busy:frown: .

Hmmm... I think I'm going to buy Far Cry in the meantime  I just saw it in some classics collection for what would be about... 5 euro/7$.

For anyone with Live, download the 'Games for Windows Montage' on marketplace for the 720p/1080i footage shown in the first post. ****ing mindblowing.

Stern, those files are only for Mercury members of Fileshack.

doh!, only a matter of time before some free HD stuff, IGN said they where going back for more anyway, so I would expect more new screens and vids.

The DX9 vers of the engine is supposed to run incredibly well on high-end modern hardware according to CryTek, however, this was
afaik, non-DX10 HARDWARE running under some form of "emulated" DX10 mode, this was most likely what caused all the crashes and framerate drops.:)
And FYI, all other media shown so far has been DX9, and that has looked pretty daaaamn good too imo, so one with a high-end PC shouldn't worry too much..

Whats High-End modern hardware?

EDIT: Think this shit will look good on DX9?

IIRC, almost all the media except this that has been shown so far has been DX9, so yes it will look incredibly good on DX9 too.
I myself am however waiting with buying a new comp until the first DX10 GPUs is out anyways though :p

I agree, so far I saved £600 for my next upgrade, which is going to be DX10 cards + AMD new DDR2....

Wow... didn't you only start saving yesterday? xD

Man I wish I could squeeze several thousand bucks out of my parents each year!:hmph::p

I am considering to buy an X1800XT 512MB now and AMD 4xxx+, 2GB DDR and another X1800XT 512 later this year as my Crysis PC. Enough or not to run the game on High, 2AA/4AF we don't know but as Crytek said they've been running the game on a single X1900XTX If that's true I see no issues for an X1800XT Crossfire system to run Crysis on DX9 well.

Im not quite sure if it's worth to buy one now or rather wait until some new cards come, but I'll defently buy a new graphics card this year.

I think it's worth waiting to hear about releases for dx10 cards saving up in the mean time. Thats my plan at the moment, if your going to spend alot might aswell aim for dx10, I can buy the game early then wait a month for vista whilst staring at the box.

I'd suggest waiting ..dx10 cards will be available way before vista (they'll just run in dx9)

there is no way ati/nvida will wait for vista to launch before selling dx10 cards ..expect them by fall

also I read somewhere that microsoft was working with ati to get dx10 cards ready for vista launch ..now the interesting thing is that the cards were not gamer cards but rather they were built in graphics card ..so even the lowest of the low end will support it ...it has to if Microsoft wants vista market penetration

Yeah.part time PC-Tech, :D

I wonder when the next graphics cards will arrive, anyone who knows?

Probably around the end of this year...

And nice one, Gorgon :)

I've actually heard that the GeForce 8xxx series might have DX10 support and that they MIGHT release around August or so, notice however that these are just rumors so far and nothing official.

indeed, moreover, 8xxx seriese got dual GPU in one Physical GPU just like AMD X2 cores. awsome.

Looks nice. I'm more interested in the physics end of things and their impact on gameplay as opposed to the graphics, but again it looks nice. Is this game sandbox-ish, a corridor crawl through a jungle if that makes sense, or something in between?

Oh yeah and is DX10 going to be required for the final game?

it looks linear ..probably with some openess like in far cry ..oh and it will be able to run on current hardware (most likely top of the line current hardware)

The thought of the price tag terrifies me :/

I honestly belive that an AMD X2 4800+, 2GB RAM and 2 7900GTX/X1900XTX can run it damn well.

Sweet, i recently upgraded to a 7900 GT.

Looks good, but reminds me too much of Farcry, and Farcry was only nice on the eyes.

http://media.divx.com/e3/CrysisInterview.divx

cool new interview, shows new footage of you weilding an AK, breaking a frozen person, and shows the half dozen or more break points on trees.

you need Divx player or rename to .avi

edit: I also read from a scan from PC gamer that Cevat Yerli said in one of his shows " I can promise you that in the last 15 minutes of the game, something will happen that you've never even thought about"

pssh show offs :p

Again I have difficulties to hear what Cevat actually says. Anyone who knows what he said in the end about the PC specs and the release?

Did he actually say "spring 2006?"

It's sick how cool that game looks. I hope they are putting their soul into this one and make everything extremely well made aswell as bring us great gameplay with an interesting story and lot's of replay value.

He did say that you can freeze the enemy and shot his one single finger off?

lol, yes I believe he did > <

I like his explaination for why Crysis itself is PC only, I couldn't agree more.

Haha I did'nt catch up on that part. I loved when he said that his favourite movie scene was from Predator and that the huge spider like alien on the ship self-destructs itself just like the Predator do in the movies. I am also very excited about that the smaller aliens reminds alot of the aliens in Independence Day. I think Cevat has used alot of movie inspiration for this game. If it's bad or good I don't know :I
