pity I cant join til tomorrow...Also - arent there restrictions that say you can only attack people on the same ranking screen as you?

Who are we attacking?
I have 25 troops with their guns at condition 5.

Edit: I would advise we all put our defcon at 2 at the minimum, if you have an army deployed or plan on deploying put it to 3 or 4.

Why put Defcon higher...I have read it doesnt matter really...Just makes buying troops more expensive

I can't edit my freaking nation, it says it won't find my cookies. I want to go Defcon 4 so we can attack tonight that little buger who resisted Numbers, before we destroy him we ask for ransom.

Edit: By tonight, as I'm in charge of the provitionary goverment untill we start elections, I order evry member to be on Defcon 4 and to have 20 troops abraod ready to deploy.
 
DEFCON set to 3 for me.

I need more people to trade with by the way, if anyone has a free slot.

I could only send 11 troops abroad. I'll buy more troops tomorrow and deploy 9 more.
 
defcon below 5 is ok Republican Friends. Btw, I'm dumb, I sended 7 soldiers this morning and now I cant send more. Evryone posts how many soldiers they have deployed.

Defcon 4 however is an extreme. But I shall follow your order.

So what we as a people have to decide is how much should be contributed per member to the bank. We have several options. We could have a base amount paid daily/weekly etc. Or we could have a percentage of your tax income daily/weekly etc. The problem with the base amount is that smaller countries will be putting in just as much as larger countries, which could cause us to suffer on the whole. With the percentage I think we're better off.

I think we also need some ground rules for wartime money. I can take charge of spreading the money out to our main armies, if that's the case. But I think we should have one, or several, country that has a massive military basically to work as our main forces. Maybe one country with little troops but focusing on nuclear weapons etc.

I think you should take it upoun yourself, or appoint someone or someones to make such desiscions. The elected president can always order a change in something ect. if they think it is wise.

Got it...I will write a statement up tonight to announce our rise to power.

As for our quote. I found a pretty sweet one from 1984.

This would fit our goals pretty well. Especially the ignorance part. The less the other nations know about our world domination plan the better.

First off, when most of us have posted our troops, I will then give order to attack that punk. He will serve as traning. Who ever has great loses, ask for a loan too Dreadlord, or millitary assitance to fellow nations.

Guys, I don't think we need a new forum just yet. The point of the republic is that its ment to be from the halflife2.net community as a "side project/fun"

We have a problem. "You may only have 4 active/pending foreign aid offers every 10 days. Once an aid offer is accepted it cannot be canceled or deleted."

I had assumed this meant unaccepted or idle aid offers, but apparently it applies to all. This means that I can only accept four payments every 10 days. I can not accept The Monkey's $98 now because I already accepted payments from four of you.. Can anyone think of a way around this?

I think there is a way to send money. Maybe you need a bank in your infrastructure?

As of right now everyone has been using the Foreign Aid feature.
 
Good point. He can only have 4 transactions per 10 days.

If I am elected president I will force each member to donate £1000 or dollars of whatever to the bank and 20 Soldiers on some kind of rota so it'll be about once every couple of months. Depends how many stay.

WE might have to set up mutiple banks, I think the only way to give money to someone is by aid

It looks like foreign aid is the only way to do it. Which stinks because 10 days is an absolutely ridiculous amount of waiting time.
