RakuraiTenjin said:Wow horrible breach of operational security for the DEA to release videotape of an undercover agent.
It was a handgun not a rifle. He was doing it to tell them that they don't know how to handle it and says (ironically) "I am the only one in this room qualified to handle this" right before he shoots himself.CptStern said:it could have happened to anyone, not really funny
why would he bring a rifle/assualt weapon to a demonstration in front of a bunch of children? I know attitudes on guns are lax but man I wouldnt be surprised if they start selling guns in vending machines
No it probably wouldn't blow his cover for operations to be honest. But google having 340,000 hits of "DEA Officer Shoots Himself" sure does.Fragalishus said:Yeah, not like making public appearances at schools would blow his cover or anything...

I think it's more of an idiotic mistake rather than him being an idiot overall. His track record is really amazing to be honest if you look it up. But he violated a few HUGE rules in gun safety with what he did, and he faced the consequences with being banned from going around to do presentations anymore.JNightshade said:I dunno. I've never actually seen the video. I'm just saying that exposure to certain things is often good for kids- I mean, the more you know, the more power you have. Still, that dude's an idiot.
RakuraiTenjin said:I'd have had him leave damn but he did recover well kind of by making it a LESSON with real demonstration
