I thought the atmosphere of the preschool level was very similar to that of Bioshock.
From what I've played of it so far (not much) it seems like there's nothing really "new" in this game, which is a bit disappointing. Having a telekinetic ability is just a gravity gun remake and starting out with a flashlight and no gun felt very Doom 3. Even the first gun you get is exactly the same as in the previous game. It's just the same scripted sequences, seeing people that you don't care about die.
I certainly enjoyed the first game (though that started to drag towards the end too), but I was hoping for more out of the sequel than this. Does it get better over time?
I do love the new zero-g mechanics, but I dislike only being able to stand on the floor during these sections. Kinda miss the ability to attach to ceilings and walls.
It seems like the multiplayer would be more fun with friends but barely any of my friends have even heard of the game and the ones that have aren't interested
Ok I just played and got somewhere into ch3. Is this game going to be that ****ing short?
Took me over 12 hours. Earlier chapters are pretty short. Around the 6 mark they get long.Ok I just played and got somewhere into ch3. Is this game going to be that ****ing short?

It's a port of a Wii rail shooter. Awesome game. Too heavy on the not shooting though in parts.
Normal. Gonna do hard or expert or impossible later. F*ck playing with a ps3 controller, although I am a god at it.On what difficulty? I just finished the game on normal and that took me 8 and a half hours exactly.
I'll get to this one later when I've got my head out of my ass. Holy dick I'm tired.I re-watched a playthrough of it earlier and noticed a canonical inconsistency.
In Dead Space 1, Kendra can move around in the outside of the colony without any breathing apparatus, yet in Dead Space: Extraction, the dialogue indicates that the air outside isn't breathable for humans.
This about sums up how scary I found it.
