Diablo 3 announced

Just got to Act 3 with my friend.
****ing hell, Tyrael is a bad ass.

You didn't see enough of him yet.
But yeah, he is really awesome.

1 item taking up 1 slot is lame.

Look at Neverwinter Nights 2 compared to 1. Totally inferior because of little things like this.

Not a surprise.

So storywise besides Tyreal, Im pretty sure were going to be either fighting heaven as well or something like that in some shape or form. From what I understood Heaven really didn't care about the humans, which is why they aren't to friendly with Tyreal to begin with. So other angels besides Tyreal coming down to fight?

I as well will not miss the puzzle inventory.

I will. I liked it.

"Oh look, there's a polearm on the ground, but I can't pick it up because my inventory, as always, is full even though I really have about 6 free slots! Oh look, I just lagged out so I will never see that item again! Lovely inventory system...lovely!"

I still think there should be some type of weight system. It would do away with inventory tetris but still preserve the fact that a ring is not the same size/weight as an axe.

It is fun to see the different sizes of items and stuff in your inventory and with potions gone that right there removes most of the "inventory tetris".

I didn't really mind the inventory system as to me it represented an item's bulk (not weight) albeit in a rather arbitrary way. That being said I can relate to those who said it was annoying for the given reasons as well. So I think I'll be happy with whatever they chose to do and I wouldn't be surprised at all if they came up with an innovative new inventory.

Shouldn't be slot based, should be weight based. It was stupid in Diablo 2 that you could become strong enough to kill monsters with your bare hands and swing the heaviest weapons, but you couldn't carry more then you could when you first started. That and like Baal said, even though you have more then 4 slots available in your inventory, you couldn't carry that cool long sword because you couldn't arrange your stuff so the 4 available slots are vertical to fit the item in.

An inventory weight system would be identical in gameplay to the old slot system, just without the Tetris BS.

hello, got internet access for a few mins now.

This guy made a few vids of him playing and talking about Diablo3 ...this is real, he explains how he were able to play it (he has cancer). Omfg envy of death...

EDIT: yupp, its fake

Also, im pretty ****ing hyped about this, and i do think its not dark and gritty enough, but its not THAT bad, still looks awesome enough!

Haven't watched the video, but some douches at the blizzard forums I think proved it was fake.

I mean, they're not douches because they proved it was fake, just the fact that they are on the blizzard forums automatically means they're a douche.

Holy shit that's so awesome.

But he says he doesn't really have cancer in the second video?

Edit: Oh, I guess it's fake :(

Yeah, fake. Didn't watch the second video?

Was I the only one who noticed he was just playing the video? :(

That guy is my HERO.

Not so much that I want to be like him when I am his age, but so much so that he's still awesome.

^ Old concept art that kotaku only just found out about for some reason.

Yep, though I do absolutely LOVE the first one. It's an awesome piece of concept work.

holy mother****in shit everyone this is the coolest news ever. i just found about this yesterday and am really excited. bye bye WoW welcome Diablo 3.
