Last weekend's half-price sale of Left 4 Dead saw a 3000% increase in sales, beating their launch sales. Wow..[br]

He also showed Steam Holiday Sales, look below:

  • 10% sale = 35% increase in sales (real dollars, not units shipped)
  • 25% sale = 245% increase in sales
  • 50% sale = 320% increase in sales
  • 75% sale = 1470% increase in sales

Woot!

That's amazing! Well, it got my purchase. Sadly, I couldn't get anything from the holiday sale, but I still have L4D. :) I love Valve.

The lowest the price, the more copies are sold. What a strange phenomenon. Maybe some big game company should think about this... ;)

I think BioShock was one of those 75% off at the Holiday sale, I bought that along with many others.

I think we'd have a hard time finding someone who didn't buy Bioshock. Best deal I've ever seen. Ever.

Sheet! Come on Valve, now that L4D is continuing to GREATLY fuel your sales income, can we get that update now?! PLEEASE!

Definitly deserve an update due to the number sold, valve should be happy

I contributed to L4D's 3000%. :D

Although I wonder how much profit per game they made with the price so low.

yay! I helped with that number! :D

also, I too bought Bioshock during the epic sale. Great company Valve is.

Why wasnt this made more public? I never knew of the sale and would defo had bought it at sale price, its not wirth the ?26 it is now though

It was on our front page, Steam news and the Steam HL2.net community group had an announcement.

Wake the shit up.
And it's still worth 26 quid.
