Do you have any irrational fears?

For me I believe that the car door will fly open and I will fall out, so I lock the door.
I have a fear or being helpless. Sometimes I have dreams (or are they?!) where I will sort of wake up, but not be able to move, and when I open my mouth I'm too sort of tired to yell out. I'm not really really scared of it, but it is unnerving.

I can't stand the thought of scraping my nails against metal or a chalk board. It just makes me grit my teeth everytime I picture it in my head. Sometimes the dark freaks me out because of my imagination. Never know when some kind of freaky mutant jumpy spikey thing will pop out and slice you to bits :)

Is that chalk thing a fear, or more of an annoyance?

I think almost every human being is annoyed by that. Hell, the sheer sound of someone saying, "scraping nails against a chalkboard" sends shivers down my spine". But its an shuddering shiver, not a fearful one.

Well, I can't really tell. I guess i'm not scared of it, but the thought some like my teeth scraping against metal sends shivers through my body. Just kind of find that weird that I can't even think about it.

Spiders. Which is strange, because I think they're fascinatiing creatures. But if I see one shooting across the carpet towards me, or someone brings one near me and I'm not ready for it...
The worst times are when I accidentally walk into a web. Freaks me out. I spend ages checking if it's on me somewhere. :LOL:
But it's not like that all the time. It's like a selective fear. Most times I can (and have) go to sleep with a giant one sitting on the ceiling over my bed.

You probably will not call it an irrational fear, it's got reason.
I HATE parasites, i ****ing feel ill evertime i think about them.
Things that lay eggs under your skin and then they hatch in larvae....AHHH!!!!!!....ones that go under your skin are the worst.
I hate the idea of having another animal being a parasite on me, doing me damage at the same time as stealing blood from me.
If i ever found i had worms i would probably drink bleach, rather they died and me with it than them staying there.

No, i've never had parasites like that......(obv i have common cold e.t.c), i really do hate them.

I have this fear of laying alone in bed at night, in my dark room, with all the lights off in the house. Partially covered in my blanket and suddenly feeling an arm wrap around my shoulder, or touch my back or neck. Or, along those same lines, rolling over from one side to the other, and find myself staring face to face with a hideous, ghoulish old woman with evil eyes and decaying flesh.

EDIT: Or sometimes walking into the bathroom at night, flicking on the light, walking towards my toilet, but seeing something in the mirror to my left, turning and having this creature jump out of the mirror at me. <shudders>
 
Deep water.. if you can´t see the bottom, I won´t go near :p

And the dark, sometimes... most of the time I´m ok, but sometimes my imagination runs wild and I get scared shitless..

I think I have a fear of rejection. I have no idea where it comes from but it's damn annoying... :(

Also I had a fear of heights, but it's not that bad anymore.
 
I used to be terrified of heights.. I´m okay with them now though, I´m not sure what´s changed but I´m glad it has :)
 
I'm scared of spiders and anything else 50x smaller than me :p

Last night i was leaning on a dining chair when my girlfriend and her mum said "rick, theres a spider under that chair" *looks at floor*, well, i've never moved so fast and it was only a piece of black paper yet i invisioned it as a spider :(.

I'm also scared of the sea because i have these thoughts that i'll be washed away soon as i go into it and drown (i've also got a phobia of drowning).
 
Any type of huge bug creep me out. Huge bugs are just way too disgusting. The worst part is having to kill them... that crunching sound gets to me.

i have a fear for being locked up in prison for life
sounds so awfull never getting out of one building :(
 
I have a fear of darkness and nighttime. Even though I live in a safe neighborhood, I still think that there is going to be someone outside for me. One night, I had to take out the trash at around 1 in the morning, and the path from the back door to the trashcan in the alley is probably 30 feet. My weakness + heavy bag of garbage = slow-ass walk of doom. As soon as I had the gate closed, I bolted back to the house and locked the door and speed-walked to my bedroom and turned on the light.

I also hate my basement. It's unfurnished, huge, and there are maybe 3 lights that work. The stairs don't have a back to them, so sometimes your foot can go too far.
 
Spiders. Tarantulas. They are the closest thing to monsters as you can get. Hairy, 8 legs, 8 eyes, a huge butt, ****.

But I guess this could be an irratinal fear...

For absolutly no reason do I believe that every time I get a girlfriend, she will cheat on me. I'm one of those kind of people.... D:

Just remember, courage is not the absence of fear, but the presence of fear yet the will to go on. It's made my life a lot easier upon learning that.
