Doom movie

I thought the movie was great and so did my girlfriend. I read reviews before seeing the movie and I thought it was going to suck because of all the bad reviews....well the movie didn't suck at all.

Exact. It depends on people. I kind of liked it, because it was a good video-game-based movie. Nothing spectacular... but probably better than a lot of action/horror movies.

i heard that the last 4 minutes of the movie were in 1st person...can anyone verify this? and is it worth my money to go and see...

It's not the last part of the movie, but it is towards the end.

Possibly one of the most ridiculous action movies I've ever seen. I laughed out loud at the end when The Rock used a railing as brass knuckles. I think he got the "Xena flip" in there at the end fight too. Its like the director saw a bunch of B action movies poorly imitated all the cool things he liked. The first person shooter section of the movie made me cringe and feel dizzy.

Don't get me wrong, I love stupid action movies as long as they're entertaining. This was not entertaining. An hour and a half or so of pure crap. Go to it to scare your girlfriend on to you, not to see a good movie.

I think my favorite part was the gunfight with the credits at the end.

i didnt really like movie myself. The gunfights were coo, and the graphics were decent. But some of the bigger bad ass wepons never really got used. (if u saw the movie u know what i mean. IE chaingun)

AND I WAS PISSED OFF they didnt put in a ****ING SHOTGUN! lol ahaha

But overall rent it when it comes out, rather then pay at theaters.

PEACE:|

BTW about the f*cked story-line, there still is a possibility of the 'infected' actually having something to do with hell, I thought some lines hinted at it anyway. And also, I kind of felt that they ended the movie so that they could make a sequel...so I'm thinking there will be a Doom 2 to continue the story.

Hopefully that Andrzej Bartkowiak won't direct Doom 2.

Worst.
Director.
Ever.

Whats the point of calling it video-game-based-movie when the original plot is not present, except probably Title.

It's a fun and mindless action movie.
The FPS scenes also made me and my girlfriend cringe and get slight nausea.(disorienting a tad.)

I'd recommend it when it comes out on video tbh though.
Fun movie, not worth admission price.

The ****ing morons who created the movie's website even said it themselves that most of it had to do with Hell! Bull shit!

Movie was pretty decent. I enjoyed watching it. It's certainly a step up in videogame movies.

C+.

Worst movie ever made. Ever.

(Edit: Ok, Starship Troopers 2 was worse, but that's it.)

Yes. Just saw it (DOOM, not the ST2 movie) They are both horrible. I want my life back!

Yeeesh, Doom is in no way SST2 bad O_O...

You guys aren't even giving it a chance :|
But, I didn't go in constantly saying to myself : "This movie is going to blow."... I went in thinking "This should be entertaining."

Doom: 7/10

Good: BFG, shooting/action/etc, atmospheric environments, **FPS SEQUENCE**

Bad: Not enough variety of monsters, nothing directly linked to hell, although it does give slight references

But seriously though, the FPS sequences kicked ASS! It was the best part of the whole movie, it was pulled off so well. I am looking forward to more movies that utilize this technique and make it as good as Doom's.

It blows. You are lying to yourself.

Perhaps not as bad as Starship Troopers 2, but it rates pretty low.

I went in thinking 'this should be entertaining' and it was.... a bit. I just thought it was really minimalist, second scene was them going in, last scene was them leaving. Only about 5 monsters in the ENTIRE movie. Was to much of a zombie flick, rather than, well, i dont know what.

5/10.

I agree although it's not entirely as bad as the reviews say. Don't always believe what you see and don't base it on others opinions. They are just ****s.And I thought there were only 4 demons, not 5. Only saw the Hellknight, Imp, Pinky, and zombies.:sniper: Unless you consider Sarge to be one at the end.

And the Rock could've let low on **** for at least 5 seconds.......... 6/10
