Well, Im abit late (Im 19) but I am having my frist lesson soon. Just wondering for those who drive or are taking lessons now, how was your first lesson?

Im nervous as hell >_>.

i was a natural

i mean not to bring you down but i hate driveing now.

good luck sexy :p

Well if you dont hear from me, its cus I drove into wall and went splat. Yay!

Your 19? Heh...I suppose its obvious now I think about it.

Driving is fun, I had my first lesson when i was 17. I was nervous, but the first lesson was in an estate which had very little traffic going through. I made mistakes, but you get over it....

I say driving is fun, but I much prefer my bike (No, not a motor bike) for getting around. I prefer to drive if I absolutely have to, or for leisure, but that isn't often. Rather than convenience.

I´ve never had a driving lesson, but you can´t be worse than my mate, she cried on her first lesson :p

Who can tell in these topsy turby times.

Oh yeah, Ritz. Have fun on your manoeuvres. I don't think you will do them this lesson, but nevertheless, I'm sure they will be quite an experience.

hehe well for me it was a long time ago....but the teacher was praising me up and down. Until....

He asked me to go through the drive through of a bank. Needless to say, I misjudged a little and ran the left fender along the side of the bank wall all the way to the window. We had to wait for the girl to stop laughing before proceeding.

And the best part? When we were leaving...she gave me a lollipop

But don't worry, it's very simple and fun and you'll do absolutely fine once you get over the nerves a bit :)

If I freak out I'll try to hit the brakes first XD

I drove on the road by myself when I was 15, helps having older friends ;) Good luck, it was the easiest thing for me to learn in my entire life :p

Make sure you know which one is the brake! I don´t :p

Curses, beaten by Burnzie !

Most of the time, if you ask me to point out the brake peddle I get it wrong. But when I'm driving I just know which peddles to push.

brake is left yeah... :)

... yeah i like the minis, id love a cooper s

If I am right and the UK pedal setup is like the US...then yes left is brake. Now thats if it is automatic...If it's a stick then the brake is the middle one.

Or to make it more confusing, the clutch is on the left ;)

(assuming the three pedals are in the same order in UK?)

Leaded or unleaded?
I believe unleaded...I just strolled past the sign so I didn't really get a look.I thought leaded was illegal...?I'm probally wrong tho...don't know much when it comes to gas...Just the diffrent octanes. :(

Edit:Just read more about emission laws...I guess it's not illegal...

Except Ritz of course...:O

Oh by the way never put race gas in a old car/truck guys...just a tip....

wow. i still haven't learnt to drive

good luck with your lessons. and remember, "A, B, C".

that's (from left to right): Accelerator, Brake, Clutch.

although the clutch one is a bit redundant now seeing as most cars are automatics.

look both ways and remember your signals. and if you see kids crossing the road it's 10 points, and 50 points for old people :E

Since when are most cars automatics? Must be a London thing. Manual cars are more fun :D (I drove the curtosy car -which was automatic :) - we were given when someone recked ours)

holy cow you're still in the 80s! get with the program!

dunno, must be a 'down south' sort of thing. don't see many people driving 'ye olde motors' anymore where i live :/

Welcome to my world. I even have a car (nice one too, 2004 Jetta) and I still get nervous as **** when I drive. Haven't driven much in three years, but that's not stopping me.

Pff....Automatics are boring :p You have that little bit more control with a manual as well. Plus, for the boy racers out there, you can get better acceleration :p
