dumb ass Peta

Our first dog I can remember had suffered seizures throughout his life. He died after he got into one he couldn't get out of. The dogs we have now, well one has a tumour (although not cancerous) and the other one seems to be sick alot.

I'm trying to convince my mum to let them eat the rabbits that run through our backyard, but so far nay. Guess I need to go to a butcher house.

a gilded cage is still a cage

animals live shorter lives in captivity ...just ask anyone at a marine park ..but yes they dont have to worry about famine, drought, disease, poachers etc, so in thta sense the risks are a lot lower

what you personally rather have? a short life of freedom or a long life living in captivity?

I'm not advocating captivity or animal imprisonment, I'm just trying to reason that animals in the wild are not invincible, ericms seems to think disease was invented by the rise of human civilisation. Which seems a very far fetched claim.

I don't believe wild animals are sick. Like I said before I think it's a matter of our bodies being so ****ed up that it doesen't even know how to react to anything natural anymore. We're basically filled with synthetic pills and mutagenic cells. Disease did spawn from cooked food. Notice how the first group of rats didn't get diseased at all throught their life. Since the second group got sick from cooked foods and medications then OBVIOUSLY it comes from there. If the rat were an "omnivore" then the first group should've gotten sick wouldn't you think?

I think domesticating an animal is ridicoulous if you plan on feeding it a diet it was never meant to eat. Feed a cat raw meat and you'll have a healthy cat. Feed it that retarded commercial **** and yes, it will get sick and probably die because of some disease.

You seem to think that eating meat will lead to cancer and disease and death. In excess, yes, but as part of a balanced diet (ie not going to Macdonald's everyday) it can lead to a healthy life. Obviously you need fibre for your bowel, and not too much red or processed meat. But too much of everything is carcenogenic. What isn't carcinogenic nowadays?

You claim you never gets sick or feel unwell. Well I have to say, me neither. I always have people with coughs and flu around me, but I keep my basic living conditions clean, I exercise regularly and I try to eat homecooked food rather than fast food junk.
I eat probably 10 servings of meat a week (I try to get white meat over red meat) and I also ensure I get enough dietary fibre.[/short recoil]
The only times I feel unwell is when I eat too many chillis or drink too much alcohol!

It'll come kirovman. But I also believe that good energy can make you live longer and feel better too. Nothing worse then a overwheight woman screaming at someone imo.

Also no, I don't think disease came from the rise of human civilisation. You know I don't either so stop putting words in my mouth. Don't read that with an angry sounding voice in your head though ;)

I'd say my immune system has improved vastly, I passed through a mumps epidemic without any reactions or vaccinations.

I don't believe it will come, actually, since my family live a very similar lifestyle, with members of my family being healthy into their 90s.

So if I'm going to suffer the effects of meat consumption when I'm 85 or 90, then heck, I had a good healthy life and I really don't care when it comes to being that age.

So I'd say something is in the genes too, not only the diet.

I don't think I was putting words in your mouth, sorry if that's the case. That was my humble interpretation.

I'm not angry or holding any hard feelings towards you. Your opinion is your own and you are entitled to it, but I believe my words hold valid substance too.

You're certainly right, genes do play a big role in it too. The genetically weakest part of your body is usually the area where disease and cancer tend to find their median. Glad you're living "well".

This beaver wasn't caught. He's a clever beaver.

lol you're claiming that commercialized and common pet food is unsafe?

You're absolutely insane.

Not only has it undergone rigorous testing as to its nutritional value, but it's been completely sterilized. That's why it lasts so long in the bag.

Dude, you can't beat the testing methods of paganism.

Hey nature freak:
Drink the stuff I'm drinking (www.eniva.com) and you won't need any of your raw crap.

I <3 meat. Local diner makes delicious cheese steak subs. Pure greasy fatness and delicious.

I practically live on junk food. Funny thing is I'm 6'3" and only around 165 lbs.

that's not true, they have perservatives, ..commercial pet food contains ash, meat by products and fillers (everything from ground up cartiledge, bone, marrow, and offal) ..some pet food manufacturers have been fined for using euthanized animals in their food. They are not the most healthy thing to be eating ..even high cost pet food like Hills or Science diet contain fillers and by products

raw food diet is far better than commercial pet food ...one's processed the other isnt

How can they put animals on the same Level as humans its madness
