That was a joke, man. :(

And, probably not, I don't hate jews. (And never even seen one, jews are prohibited from entering for some reason).

The Penguins of Antarctica. It'll be the only place where there are no nuke craters.

All their ice will melt, and they can't survive purely in water. But I'll tell you who wins:

Australia. Trying nuking that! You can't? Boohoo!

Why the bump.
And that image seems a bit racist to me.

Seriously, did that map come from the Extremely Racist Coalition Against All Muslims And Also Foreigners website?
Exactly what I was thinking. I'm astonished that picture's got so many "rofl"s - it's appalling.

is a joke its not mean to be political or serious, dont like it dont look at it.

Xenophobia is always amusing.

The penguins shall inherit the earth

Lucky bastard. In my country jews run the media and perpetuate interracial breeding practices.

Well it's a common outcry to be heard amongst european racists. "Dem Blacks/Asians/chinese are taken over our country, in 10 years it'll be pakistan/Africa/China"

it's not politically correct, but it's not really racist hate speech, well pictures. I don't think it's the new illustrated version of mein kampf.

Overreacting to, the far-right overreacting

That map's unrealistic, because Scotland blow up the world with their secret nuclear weapons in 2010.

Probably, yeah. My first post in this thread was just "alarmist?" but since everybody kept on going 'lol' and not seeming to notice that it was a bit of a stupid (unfunny) image I felt compelled to be a bit stronger.

No it's not Mein Kampf, but it is racist, bigotted and it reflects the genuine views of a surprising proportion of people. If that weren't the case, and it hadn't gotten so many roffles, it wouldn't have been nearly as disturbing.
But then what do I know; I'm just some pansy liberal.

On a lighter note: Did your av used to be the peperami from the ads? Whenever I read your posts, I always think...

I see your point, the 'lol' reactions weren't in the best taste. I suppose the weight it holds is open to interpretation as we don't know the source of the cartoon.

I dont think I have used a peparami avatar before ( I have a rubbish memory), but I'll use one now.

1. A very good point.
2. I like your new av :)

That thing's so freaking scary. Why would you want to eat pepperami after seeing that advert? It looks like it'd just go all crazy serial-killer on your internal organs. :(

Yes, hence the sad smiley that accompanied the link (//.end sarcasm). This was not intended as a joke, even if it was it wouldn't be particularly funny. As it's not intended in humour, it's pretty ****ing stupid and inflamatory.
Sometimes I really wish we had a Digg/Sensible Erection style comment moderating system...

The vocabulary words of the day are "Exaggeration" and "Hyperbole". ;)

From what I've read, the map has a good point, as would a map of the United States of Latin America.

But then you could also say that the apparent refusal to reveal where it came from, coupled with it being hosted on imageshack, means it's either self-made or he didn't want anybody to know where it came from (which was why I asked what I asked...trying to provoke him into answering).

If it has a point then it's OH NOES TEH ISLAMICS ARE TAKING OVER!!!
Seriously, what 'point' do you think it makes, besides showing the xenophobia of it's creator and the linker?

Maybe fair enough to suggest that one country is being 'swamped' - if alarmist - but the whole of Europe? Suddenly there's a continent-wide plague of Muslims who will take over all the countries and turn them into theocracies? I for one am sincerely worried!

Yes, it was very amusing. Better than every episode of Fawlty Towers and Yes Minister ever broadcast put together. Except not. It was unfunny in itself, as well as being vaguely offensive.

I am exactly NOT that kind of person, I have a wicked sense of humour and don't mind racist jokes, depending on who's telling them. But, to repeat myself, we're not talking about a joke. So kindly don't make assumptions about my disposition.
I wouldn't say that Brucie thing is racist, but it's not in very good taste and it's certainly not very polite.

That sounds rather hostile D:

I've read that a lot of UKians are afraid of losing their national identity to immigrants because of moves the government is making to conform to foreign standards. I don't think that falls under the category of xenophobia.

I wonder if you've seen some of the maps made about America's perception of the world. They make good points also ;)

Um, I trying hard to figure out what you're on about, so..
To start with I'm not really sure that "moves the government is making to conform to foreign standards" really has any truth to it. People percieve this sort of bullcrap due to certain segments of the news (and some politicians) stirring up people's feelings against foreigners and minorities. 'Cos fear sells papers, you know. And the root of that is xenophobia. But people will try and justify it with 'our culture is being eroded/changed by immigrants', which is total horse cock because, in the UK at least, we haven't had much of a distinct monolithic culture for a long time, and any cultural change is through people's lifestyle choices and interests rather than the prescence of people of other cultures. I'm talking about foreign media and music and food and so on...
Our culture is a delicous mix of many foreign influences, and it will continue to develop and change as it has done for thousands of years. Any ideas of totemic cultural concepts are just propaganda, nothing more.

Good work gick, how did u manage that exactly?

Google search 'Europe in 2015' and/or 'Future of Europe'? :p

Yeah, it's definitely true to say that lots of people in Britain are worried about 'multiculturalism'.

But it's probably true to say the worst papers are the ones that are most popular. D:

I often go on the BNP website for a laugh (although now they have a seat on the local council, so the hilarity has worn off somewhat) and I knew I'd seen the picture before somewhere, so it was the first place I checked. Theres a thread on it at stormfront too. :(

I didn't claim to. I merely said that I don't find it funny and that there's clearly an agenda behind it. Oh look where it's from! What a surprise! BNP 'humour' - possibly an oxymoron. If you find the picture funny, I recommend to you the advertisement that used to be on the hl2.net front page. You know, the one with the cow bumsex and the 'does this picture make you laugh'?

Cheers Pal

EDIT: lol wtf:

They are clearly posessed of a comic genius not seen on this earth since Oscar Wilde popped his clogs.

Taste, i think most but 1 or 2 of the adusience laughed at it.

As for politeness, back 30 or more years ago there was soaps on that said paki they weren't classed as being racist.

So why is it now everything we say or do that involes muslims/other cultures they get offended so easily. Is it bcos they are ashamed of their religion?

We always make fun of our religion our god, but do we go round the workld, torching buildings, torturing ppl. NO...so maybe you need to re-think what u just saud & get some friggin history before u start making assumptions.
