Europe in 2015

To start with I'm not really sure that "moves the government is making to conform to foreign standards" really has any truth to it. People percieve this sort of bullcrap due to certain segments of the news (and some politicians) stirring up people's feelings against foreigners and minorities.
Oh, okay.

As for politeness, back 30 or more years ago there was soaps on that said paki they weren't classed as being racist.
50 or more years ago gay sex was illegal. 100 or more years ago women couldn't vote. What exactly's your point?

So why is it now everything we say or do that involes muslims/other cultures they get offended so easily. Is it bcos they are ashamed of their religion?
Alarmist much?

I don't like the image because it's basically saying that soon Islam is going to take over the whole of Europe and push all the populations of all the nations out of their own lands. That's a little different from merely voicing valid concerns about the danger of rising islamic fundamentalism/religious intolerance. Or, indeed, concerns about immigration. In this case, the image has a quite clear agenda behind it, since it comes from the BNP website. In case you didn't know, they're very thinly-veiled neo-nazis.

Case study: look at the 'London strikes back' image. Is it funny? No, not really. It's about as funny as a tissue on a desk with a pencil lying by the side. Is it offensive, weird, stupid and stereotyping? Oh, er, the answer is yes.

EDIT: It's also done in paint. I mean holy shit.

just because u didnt like it do u now speak for everyone who has made a reply to this thread.

Cheers Pal

Perhaps before you express feelings of xenophobia and nationalism, you should consider learning the language of your nation. :)

Read the quuran there is a verse in it that states Islam will rule the world.

Read the Bible. There's a verse that says the meek shall inherit the Earth.

There's also a verse that says you can stone your wife for certain things.

As Sulkdodds says, perceptions and prevailing attitudes change, usually for the better. Besides which, the fact that you see some kind of analogue between a TV show many years ago and a personal situation between two people and possibly involving a particular person's public embarrassment (or not, we obviously don't know how she felt), makes me not want to bother responding to the last point you made. For Christ's sake, what does your point about the old soaps have to do with politeness. I'm talking about common courtesy between two people, not general public attitudes.

Oh, I can't resist:

We always make fun of our religion our god, but do we go round the workld, torching buildings, torturing ppl.

If we can extend 'we' to the armies that we pay for, directed by the politicians we vote for, then the answer to that is a big YES.
Why you think that point would make me rethink what I said, when it has got absolutely nothing to do with what I said, is bewildering.

Actually, no, I'm just being over-polite. It's not bewildering, it's clearly because you're an very immature... chap who can barely conceal his own hatred enough to argue in a coherent or relevant manner.

I've read that a lot of UKians are afraid of losing their national identity to immigrants because of moves the government is making to conform to foreign standards. I don't think that falls under the category of xenophobia.
You only lose your national identity if it's already so desperately bland that you can't keep it alive to yourself.
The person whose national identity is strong and their sense of national pride is confident can easily cohabit with people of other cultures, because they know theirs is too distinctive to be overwhelmed.
The person who fears that their national identity could be overwhelmed has little faith in it and is insecure.

your the kind of guy that thinks what Bruce Forsyth said about curry's is racist.

Man get a life, its comical

SOURCE
The source of that story is the Daily Mail, a loathesome piece of hate-mongering disguised as journalism.

The source of the picture is the BNP, a wretched group of racists desperate for credibility.

Speaks volumes, it does.

Realistically not much, but their support is on the rise. They're employing classic Hitlerean tactics of going to deprived areeas and telling the poor white people there that it's the foreigns' fault.

Wikipedia sez:
In the general election last year, they got 0.7% of the vote, with no ministers in parliament, and that they have 52 councillors on local councils following this years local authority elections, which I think is proportionately a stronger result than they got in the general elections.
Edit: I read a bit further on and the article says that there are around 20,000 local councillors in the UK, making those 52 councillors (calculator)... about 0.26% of the total.

So in short: Not much, but their profile is much higher than they deserve because they are such filthy rotten Nazis.

Kill False Prophets
If a man still prophesies, his parents, father and mother, shall say to him, "You shall not live, because you have spoken a lie in the name of the Lord." When he prophesies, his parents, father and mother, shall thrust him through. (Zechariah 13:3 NAB)

Kill People for Working on the Sabbath
The LORD then gave these further instructions to Moses: 'Tell the people of Israel to keep my Sabbath day, for the Sabbath is a sign of the covenant between me and you forever. It helps you to remember that I am the LORD, who makes you holy. Yes, keep the Sabbath day, for it is holy. Anyone who desecrates it must die; anyone who works on that day will be cut off from the community. Work six days only, but the seventh day must be a day of total rest. I repeat: Because the LORD considers it a holy day, anyone who works on the Sabbath must be put to death.' (Exodus 31:12-15 NLT)

Death to the Rape Victim (Deuteronomy 22:23-24 NAB)

If within the city a man comes upon a maiden who is betrothed, and has relations with her, you shall bring them both out of the gate of the city and there stone them to death: the girl because she did not cry out for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbors wife.

You get the point

Haha, that Daily Mail article seems actually quite neutral.

Hey, if the audience found the jokes offensive it's not a PC conspiracy.
