New update, several of the survivors from the island are testifying that they are absolutely certain that there was a second shooter and that they could hear shots from different directions at the same time.

Survivor from the island, Marius Helander Røset, describes the man as 180 centimeters in height with dark hair and of nordic/scandinavian ethnicity.

He was a Chairman in FPU Oslo West from October 2002 until November 2004.

We have a far-right youth group at my university called Youth for Western Civilization, they're the same kind of scum****s as this guy. They are strongly pro-Western civilization and anti-multiculturalism / anti-immigration (which is reality works out to just being plain racist). They want to "preserve Western values, history and ideals" and not let it be "polluted" by other cultures. I've always hated them because they are essentially thinly veiled white/western supremacists that hide behind some flimsy distinctions between race and culture.

In the Manifesto he has apparently made a detailed list of all his friends.

I have not understood how detailed the list is exactly, but let's hope the special police can make use of the list to place surveillance on associates and hopefully lessen the chances of them committing a similar atrocity.
 
I kinda shied away from watching and reading the news these days. Its really sad what happens out there so I mainly focus on tech news that actually improves our lives

"SWAT" apprehended him 1,5 hours after the first shots were reported at Utøya. The SWAT-team responded fairly quickly, they were at the scene 40 minutes after they were called. Unfortunately, local law-enforcement spent some time determining the severity of the situation (whether or not to call SWAT) and there was some trouble getting transport out to the island itself. They drove out to the lake because getting a transport chopper from the army was deemed too time-consuming and the police chopper was too small to carry the team. Hopefully now the SWAT-team will get their own chopper, its not like Norway can't afford it...

A former classmate of mine would have been right in the blast-zone had the bomb gone off about an hour earlier and my neighbour decided not to go to Utøya this year. I also know a handful of people who physically felt the blast, scary stuff...

There's nothing to link them solidly. Crazy people to crazy things because they're crazy. Violent games don't make none violent people violent. You gotta be f*cked up in the 1st place to simulate violent games and films.

Once again, though, the media will ignore research and probably go on a "VIDEO GAMES BRAINWASH PEOPLE INTO BEING KILLERS" tirade. Same old. The gaming world will get some of the blame for this. For sure.

EDIT: I'd like to point out again that even in Norway people thought it was a Muslim Terrorist during the first few hours in to the Attack so I don't see how people can get so much sand in their Vaginas and get so mad when I made the same assumption.

So anyway this is pretty damn horrible that anyone would be so driven to calmly walk around and murder children and teenagers. This wasn't a desperate man or one who was raised to believe in death to [insert group here] (he's from Norway for god's sake) but I guess no matter what you do you'll always have one or two people who are just bloody mental. If it was really only him or him and one other guy then you can't see this coming. There's no organization, no meetings to follow. You can't read his mind so unless he's just careless there's nothing to predict this crap. I'm not sure where I'm going with this other than I wish this could have been prevented but I guess it just couldn't have been. Even if you read all the mental stuff he said that's been posted in this thread, well, lots of people talk shit. Few people would ever have been capable of doing this thing. honestly though.It doesn't happen alot that any rich person commits murder very rarely I think, of course when it does happen you get crazy media coverage like with OJ Simpson.
