Yeah, i'm not really making fun of their AI. Its just silly when you think of it in logical terms. I wouldnt have it any other way, because god damn I love running down CPs with vehicles.

If Breen had any sense at all, he would have sent all the Striders and stuff to hunt you down the instant he knew you were in the city. I mean, he doesn't have to worry about public opinion or budgetary requirements are anything. Ah, sliding scale of threat vs storyline progression...

The combine really needed to use those APC things more. Quick response + Homing rockets > Airship dropped Striders.

Especially considering how we're talking about our third game in this thread haha. Fallout leads to Oblivion, Oblivion leads to Half-Life 2.

Yeah, I remember this part in the game where I was in the airboat, and was going under the bridge. The AI was good enough to know that they should rappel down right in front of my boat and get run over.

Scripted events are not AI.

Seriously.

I was dead serious, once you ignore the scripted events and let them work purely on AI, it's actually real good.

What breaks it are weapons coded to be inaccurate and their low health.

He doesn't have a problem with the game.

He has a problem with the name.

What? Let me see...

* Bad texture work
* Mediocre animations
* Lack of any reaction to being hit from the AI
* Lollerskating enemies (animation not reflecting the speed of the character)
* The magazine not being detached when reloading the AR
* Badly implemented ragdoll system
* Lousy AI (BoS behaves like a bunch of retards with lasers when attacking)
* One-shot killgun.

Off the top of my head. It's simply bad game design.

I heard/read somewhere that you get a certain amount of action points that you can use in VATS, if you don't have any then you can't use it. I forget how they said the action points regenerate... you probably get more over time and for killing stuff without VATS.

Uh yeah it's a first person shooter after all , can't you just shoot them in the face yourself? The whole thing seems really gimmicky and artificial but we'll see.
