Games that everyone loved, and you didn't.

HL2 - Top of the list in this category. HL1 had better combat, story, immersion, gameplay overall. HL2 bored me big time, was way too easy and had no REAL story (just back story behind the Combine invasion. Hardly anything REALLY happens in HL2... Only reason I plan to buy Episode 2 is for TF2 and Portal.

KOTOR - Combat got boring - too easy, hated most characters, story was a cop out (gather star map coordinates the entire game until we throw in an ending! Liked the twist, that's about it).

I thought only portal came with ep2, TF2 is a separate purchase IIRC.

Cool, looks like this time I'm buying it all by myself.

No real story? I wonder if we played the same game.

I'd also like to add MGS to this in some capacity. I think all 3 are awesome, and I thoroughly enjoyed playing them, but I have to say, Kojima gets way too much credit for his writing ability - which as far as I'm concerned, is pretty lackluster. He can't write dialogue for shit.

HL1/HL2-Good games sure, but nothing spectacular or amazing. I could live without ever playing them.

Zelda series-I don't see anything special about these games.

Warcraft 3/World of Warcraft-The only good thing about Warcraft 3 is dota. WoW just plain sucks.

Final Fantasy IX-VIII's better D:

WoW, and I usually like games most people hate.
Diablo 2.

I dunno why I found the original diablo fun though.

Halo
Battlefield 2
Zelda (any)
KOTOR
Half-life 2
Never played halo 2, but I bet it'd be on there somewhere
Oh, and the warcraft games, the rts or whatever. Not fun, mostly irriatating.

This would be easier if it were, "games nobody else liked but you did".

Final Fantasy (shittiest. line. of. sequels.ever.)
Halo
Unreal Tournament
The Sims
Battlefield 1942 (I liked vietnam soooo much better, Battlefield 2 is up there though)

EDIT: and all the stupid warcraft games, command and conquer as well
EDIT2: KOTOR was utter shit as well.l

Am I the only one who thought BF: Vietnam was total ass?

Command & Conquer series.
Final Fantasy series.
Quake series.
Doom series.
Duke Nukem series.
EverQuest.
Black & White.
Warcraft series.
Gran Turismo series.
Metal Gear Solid series.
Battlefield Vietnam.

I imagine some people probably want to murder me now.

I also think Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, and Pink Floyd are overrated.

*runs away very fast*

Oh oh another one to put up there...
DDR.
'Nuff said.

Morrowind - Just never got into it.

Also, for people who couldn't get into Halo... Its all about the multiplayer.
To get into the story, you have to learn the background story, which is a LOT of info. Halo has a huge background story

Read it all, actually. Didn't aid in my playing experience in the least.

Quake series - I have not played Quake 4 though.
Chronicles of Riddick
Splinter Cell series
Starcraft
Warcraft 3

There are probably others but that is what I came up with for now.
Am I the only one who thought BF: Vietnam was total ass?
I know a bunch of people who thought that. Although I liked it even though gameplay wasn't quite as good as 1942. :O

Oh yeah, and oblivion. Although I'm not really alone on this one, I think I was one of the first to realize the game was crap.

The books are better than the actual games, in terms of storyline. They may not use it much, but Bungie really has fleshed out the Halo background.

Starcraft. I. Hate. Starcraft.

I dislike almost all old FPS games, I mean the originals like Wolf, Doom, Duke...Duke especially. I never got why people liked it. Basically the whole experience for me was like, "Shoot this pig, shake it baby, flush a toilet, end."

I also dislike almost all MMOs. I don't see what people enjoy about games like Everquest or Guild Wars.

I take it that you probably didn't play the old FPSes when they were first released? Or within their release timeframe?
Of course the gameplay isn't going to be deep and engaging... they were one-man army slaughter fests.

As for hating Starcraft... eh, I'll let numbers deal with you. :p

Half-Life (1).

I think I started it 2-3 times. I decided to beat it to have some background before playing HL2 and to see what's so great about it. I have to admit that once I began playing properly it started getting more interesting but overall I didn't like it much.

Halo & Halo 2 - both were so average.

Counter-Strike - I can play it for like 5 minutes and I get sick of it.

Day of Defeat - can be fun at times but gets pretty boring after a while.

Call of Duty 2 - pretty standard.

UT2004 - I can't stand playing games as quick and mindless as this.

Battlefield 2 - bunch of assholes play it. SAMs were accurate enough but EA made them even better. Can't fly anything now.

That's all I can think of.

Counter-Strike / Source - Please dont kill me.
Ill play it if my friends are playing, but I dont really like it much.

Oh, and Splinter Cell as well.

Prince of Persia series
Tomb Raider Series
James Bond Series

I don't hate it, but I don't like the fact that I haven't found a single situation that call me using my nightvision goggles

Snake Eater is a big one for me too, I just never got into it like the other games. Even though I consider myself a huge Metal Gear Solid fan.. dono. Also the Unreal Championship games.

OBLIVION

Someone give me a reason why this game is good, its been on my desk for the past 3 months. Every time i try and play it, I get so damn bored.....
